I'm planning on starting a new character, and am leaning towards trying an Anima Mage. I have no experience with Pact Magic.
Does anyone know of any handbooks for the Anima Mage, beyond the one on Wizards.com? Additionally, can anyone recommend any good caster-focused vestiges?
I was also considering making the base caster class a Sha'ir. However, I'm concerned about the survivability of the class. It seems to take a long time for a Sha'ir to prepare spells. Once prepared, they're not retained for particularly long either (especially for multiclassed Sha'irs). Does anyone have experience playing a Sha'ir? How have you handled this vulnerability?
