Eleanor Gecks musta got shoved down
the Alice In Wonderland rabbit hole, but
ended up going through the "wrong" portal ...  :evillaugh

And even in the BoVD ... for 4e y'know you
can't poison your partymate and stuff him in
a Bag Of Holding, and throw it in a lake.
That's a no no , tsk-tsk-tsk.  Besides, he'd
succeed his Saves Ends condition before
he got stuffed in the Bag.
 :D

I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

Everything that has a saving throw is considered worthless in 4E as it has a 50% chance base of ending in under a round.  (And with the pile of errata, you can't improve that in any useful way.)  Its possible for save ends powers to have absolutely no effect.  1 round duration is actually better as it is predictable.

Not that the 1 round duration powers are actually good, mind you. They're more useful than the save ends powers, but FUCK keeping track of a dozen pointless +1s and -1s that only last one Mystra-damned round! In the end, just about everybody in my 4e group traded their powers for ones that just do damage and never spoke of 90% of the game again. And lets not even get started on how much rituals suck.

...  :D ... but you know he'd be making death saves
for a few rounds too, so then there's the Athletics
checks to swim inside the Bag Of Holding, and
the Endurance checks to hold his breath.
"Which Way Is Up" is probably a Wisdom check.
I.d.-ing the Bag is probably a Know-Arcana check,
or maybe he just knows that it is a Bag.

Anyway, this sounds like a:  Poisoned + Death Saves + Bagged + Drowning skill challenge.
His partymates should have woken up after the surprise round.

Surprise:
Dude1 hands dude2 poisoned drink
Dude2 drinks poison, takes damage

Round 1:
Dude2 takes damage, very Very quickly fails all the skill challenge checks
Dude1 hopes nobody heard nothing, teleports (!) dude2 into the bag, minor action throws bag in water
Eleanor Gecks wakes up prone ... (which she's rather happy about, for entirely different reasons)
... and starts YELLING at everybody, cause she hates happiness regardless of it's form:
"WHERE ARE MY TATTOO MARKERS ?? !!"
rest of party free action responds with: I know nothing variants
She suc-ceeds (oh that's so shadar-kai) her Perception check that not enough people responded
free action yells at dude2: "YOU DIDN'T RESPOND YOU WORM !!"
Dude2 doesn't respond again because he's underwater
Dude1 says: "I'll respond for him, if you'll do that little shadar-kai trick  :eh again ?!"

Round 2:
Dude1 says can we all go back to sleep now, high Bluff check roll
Gecks says oh no you don't Paladin, failing Sense Motive check
... standard action Trip on dude1, minor action starts grapple
Dude1 is now prone+grappled, having voluntarily lowered his AC and Will, but not his Fortitude.
Rest of Party free action reaches for their ear plugs, forgetting about Dude2.

OK I think I've talked myself into it.

Where's the dramatic tension, evildoers?

More dank than the Dragon God movie, but the castle establishing shots are less embarrassing in this one.     Not quite enough dungeoning if you ask me.

I liked when the kai lady rolled on the ground first for no real reason before launching her breath weapon.
Maybe that body flip stirred up the stomach acids she needs to belch forth that purple energy wave.

When father and son meet and the dad learns the full extent of the son's stupidity, that hit too close to home.    :pout

But then at least I finally understood what he was doing with that group the whole time, which perhaps the movie could have made more clear or maybe it would have served me well to pay better attention.

Eye Of The Beholder ... taking a peak at the dragon's lair.  Hint of Enlarge Spell meta.

Liquid Pain extraction - minor refluffing.

The Dread Emperor (and/or Armor Of) ... modified to PG-13 standards.

I liked it, despite the "made-for-tv" feel. They did a good job incorporating real DnD elements into it, even at least one copyrighted picture. I thought the actor for the goliath was horrible!

The ending was probably my least favorite part about it, but, I guess I'm used to more well-made movies.

Wait-a-minute ... the Guy didn't get the Girl,
and you don't know if the Guy and the Dad
live happily ever after; or even get home.

 :clap ... That ain't a hollywood ending.

When the party was in the walled town
and the townspeople closed the Gate,
Gecks yells the line, twice:  "Open The Gate!"

OK ... that should have been an Intimidate
check and some of the townspeople should
have failed the check.  Maybe when the fight
started, a whole bunch of them were fighting
but Demoralized, so they died a lot quicker.
