Well.. fun shields...

Extreme Wood or Steel shield. No bashing allowed, but you get a base shield bonus of 3.

A hide shield gives you a 3, but a -1 to attack rolls. It does act as full cover, however.

A beetle buckler would be weird to use with this. Given that occationally it takes off and flies around your head blocking arrows.

But, you are a spellcaster I believe, so I would go with an Extreme Steel Shield, made of Mithral and Faecrafted so there is no Arcane spell failure. You get Shield AC 3, No arcane spell failure, a mere -2 ACP and for only 1680 gp.

Grasping shields give a free since disarm check each, then count as non-spiked shields. But if you add shield razors, then they are spikey all the time!

Shield Wall is the only feat relevant that improves your shield bonus ...if you have a friends. All others instead raise your AC. Shieldmate does however give a shield bonus to an adj ally.

Have a familiar use it with a tower shield.

couldn't you have a monkey familiar using a tower shield sized (with the proper feat or a trick to gain prof.) appropriately climbing on your back grant you the shield bonus with that feat?

For that matter, use an Ubermount build and a Rider's Shield. Have the mount take Inlindl School.

Excellent.

Just buff that Shield's Shield AC, and... Wonderfulness occurs.

You seem to have mostly arcane stuff, what about using turn undead to pump shield AC with CHA? with Divine Shield? Itmay not mesh well with your origional idea but it is an additional way to grab xtra shield bonuses.

Had another take on this recently. Enhancement Alteration (infusion) + Paired (Shield ability) + Swarmfighting = attack bonus loop with your shield bash. Apply this to a spiked bashing Lion's shield and that's 6d6 dmg when that lion tears loose.
