Nanshork: tome feats are currently in use, but they're more of a holdover from the beginning of the campaign when Tome classes were in use. The feats are the only aspect  left over, and with one more build revision planned for my character (though when it will come into play I have no idea), I assume that they will eventually be just about extinct from play.

So if Tome feats are all that are holding you back, please do reconsider.

But I am soooooo lazy.  :P

Edit: It isn't the only thing holding me back, but now that I went and gave myself a refresher on them I think that if you give Dax tome feats he'll be somewhat overpowered, more than Oslecamo wants to deal with.  BAB to damage with my seven normal attacks a round and whatnot.

Again, you wouldn't need to give him Tome feats at all. But I'm not trying to force you to play in another game. :D

Of course you aren't.   :p

Oh I guess I can adjust Dax down two levels.

Bump.

So, did anyone already adjusted their characters for City of the Spider Queen?

Gah, no.  I'll get on that.

Edit: I lost my level by level progression of my maneuvers and I'm too lazy to recreate that.

So lazy that I'll just make a new character.  What does the group have, and what are the item rules you're using?

(click to show/hide)

EDIT: And the party currently has an ogre mage dual-wielding a double sword, a drow custom marshal with pimping auras, and another drow untamed psychic (read:customization of an homebrew class for a warlock style).

Deadlines help to motivate yourself  :)

I second the question about the team composition.

Also, do you allow using any of the monster classes in your homebrew section? I have been looking through the index and I have to admit that some look really interesting. I haven't got any particular idea yet, though.

Rough party composition added to my other post above.

Let's say, one week for deadline for the city of the spider queen, counting from now.

And of course you can use any of my homebrew. I wouldn't post it if I didn't feel confident about allowing it in my own games! :p

Though I'll pop in and say that my character (the Drow arcane caster Oslecamo described as warlock-style) is pending an overhaul because while the class seemed interesting at first, it's incredibly clunky and not as fun to play as I had hoped. Not sure when I'm going to be allowed to switch over, but it's something that's going to need substantial in-character and in-game plot to make happen.

Someone should play a Gelatinous Cube Wizard. Because that is an amazing class.

Is the campaign still looking for more people? I'm currently away for the next two, two-and-a-half weeks, but I'd have fun joining after that...

Oslecamo, have you looked at Xenoalchemy/can I use it?

I'll have to veto that one. The grafts themselves aren't that bad, but the part where they stack with everything else and don't cost anything but basic body parts (which would also raise the problem of deciding what you start with) is. Plus the base class is geting  such lovely stuff as at-will Dismissal at 2nd level+sneak attack+stacking penalty to AC all with a single strike, and then the part where the author just doesn't seem to know the base rules very well, like stating that "mindless creatures are normally immune to any effect requiring a Will save" don't exactly inspire confidence on my side.

Well, since only Forumowicz and  Nanshork seem to be left around here, one more player would be nice. Take your time, and then you could join later than the other players.

What about The Harrowed

Yes, I know it could potentially cause role-playing complications that would need to be sorted out.

Harrowed looks good. I'll trust you to properly role-play The Monster Whitin.

I'll take it as a compliment that you trust me with that.  I won't let you down.   :smirk

Harrowed it is, most likely natural attack based if that's quite alright.

I'll have something up within the next couple of days.

Actually I might like to get in on this if possible.. There seemed like abunch of candidates a few pages back when I posted interest for the other half campaign. So I kinda backed off..

But if there is room in the spider queen game I would love to come up with a build.. I have a few ideas floating around in my head already.
Roses are Red. Gaming is fun. You're over encumbered and cannot Run.

Sure, there would be room for one more, go ahead and work on those ideas you have.
