Is there a way to gain tremorsense at low levels?
« on: June 21, 2013, 02:15:42 AM »
I know of two ways - both require 4K, which I don't have to spend. Level 3, I have a spare feat. I want specifically tremorsense, I could easily score another sense method.

Depends a lot on your build. An arcane caster could get a Hairy Spider familiar, for example.

Lists of Stuff has two feats.
I am the assassin of productivity

(member in good standing of the troll-feeders guild)

It's begun — my things have overgrown the previous sig.

I came here to suggest the Scorpion Senses feat, but SirP did better (teach a man to fish, and all that :P ).
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

There's an elemental earth graft in Magic of Eberron, IIRC. It's pretty cheap, but it costs an action to use.

...and he'll form a fish conglomerate, which you can absorb via hostile takeover after the IPO (using insider information gleaned from the training session), ultimately raking in billions?

I like that adage.

Dragon Magazine 351, page 92-93
Feat: Technomagical Implant (CON 13, Character Level 3)
Allows you to implants technomagical devices, which are described on the next page (93) and take up a magical item body slot. Among these items is the Tremorsense Disk, which takes up your Boots slot and gives you Tremorsense out to 20 feet. Price? 4000 GP.
Availability of implants is heavily dependent on your DM, however, because RAW they can only be found as treasure. I'd talk to him about making an adventure out of tracking one down, though.

Thank you, everyone. Scorpion Sense is too short range, and I don't have 9000 gold to use on a graft, but when I get 4000 gold, the technomagical graft looks possible.

Landshark Boots soulmeld, when bound to your feet, let you use a move action to use tremorsense.  The more essentia in the soulmeld, the bigger the radius.
