So this one's a long time coming, but I can finally post in this forum now.  About 8 months ago, some...things happened, and my best friend at the time pretty much destroyed my ability to trust and love anyone.  All because of what was apparently a misunderstanding, from what I can gather.  Still don't know what I did, I have my suspicions, but nobody who knows anything is willing to talk to me, so I can't be sure.  And anyways, if it was the things I suspect, it means that the responsible parties completely misunderstood what I was saying/doing, on the order of "I don't like mushrooms" becomes "I love mushrooms".

Big hugs, dman. We'll be here if you need us.

That and I have no insurance or money to get this pain checked out. Goodness fuck.

That is absolutely disgusting.  So, so wrong. A country where you could be at serious medical risk but can't be treated because you have no money, urgh.  urgh urgh urgh
Something inside me dies when I see the word fallacy applied to ideas held about roleplaying. And a small bit of vomit comes up when I see a character called a 'toon'.

I have learned that I would prefer sharp, intermittent pain over dulling, throbbing pain that builds up over time. I had a wisdom tooth extracted three weeks ago, and I now have dry socket. I am in constant agony. For some reason, the pain has been getting worse with time, not better, to the point where I cannot go more than an hour without pain medication.

That and I have no insurance or money to get this pain checked out. Goodness fuck.
1. Holy fuck. You know, for one little tiny assed nerve wisdom teeth can be AGONY brining tears to the eyes of the toughness person. All four of mine are yanked, I was put under for two of them then they did some grinding...

Makes me think my parents were onto something about brushing, even if it wouldn't have helped.

Speaking of insurance, how retarded are some people? Someone I know backed up in a parking lot and hit a parked car sitting on the side of the road where there is no parking spots. No damage to the moving vehicle, small dent and loss of paint to the fender of the other car. Two months later said someone gets nasty phone calls demanding to be paid money. Do you not understand what the fuck you're asking?

A. They don't need to pay you dick, ever.
The funny thing about state requiring insurance is that most people have insurance - she has full coverage - for this kind of thing. No money comes from the person who hit you directly to begin with. Claims are exactly that, if you hit a car and call in a claim the insurance company with no is going to nod their head and not give a fuck. Because it's not a claim unless you're claiming money from them and at best all you are doing is calling in a heads up. It's up to you to seek money out of someone's insurance and that company won't care until you do.

B. Not her problem and you can't take her to court.
Identity and correct insurance information was given, all responsibility has ended. If you have a dispute, you get to deal with the insurance company's higher paid attorneys you dumb fuck. And you have lawyers? You're being kicked out of your apartment for not making rent (or so gossip says) and the fender was both missing paint and dented in other places, how the hell do you have lawyers? Repeatedly calling and demanding money paid out of pocket is or face lawyers/ass-kicking/etc is harassment, so I guess keep it up and you can have a new place to live.

C. You're not getting money to begin with.
The insurance company will call you and say here is a list of people we will let you take the car to. They will fix it, we will pay them, and you won't see the receipt. If you want money out of this you need to tell them no, you'll do it. At that point they will gives you the exact amount of money to fix your car at the cheapest location they suggested, since you are legally obligated to repair your car at this point (its true) you must find someone who will do it cheaper or at least show valid effort or if followed up on you'll be charged with insurance fraud. You'll pay a hell of a lot more than you got then...

I hate stupid people.

Screw you, guy who's supposed to update the bus-schedule! Thanks to you I missed my flight, wasted a lot of money and did not get to meet my cousin that I usually just get to see once every 5 years!  :shakefist  :banghead

Wow... Racketeering and Money Laundering?  Is Dotcom supposed to be the Pirate Godfather or something?

I knew they had to stretch in order to justify yanking the guy out of New Zealand for this shit... but holy shit.

IIRC, those two are the only felonies listed.  Criminal Copyright Infringement is, IIRC, a 1/4M fine and 6 months in jail max, according to old VHS movies.

Too bad Kim Schmitz hasn't actually been convicted yet.  Also, unless they have literally hundreds of charges against him, it's almost impossible for him to get 50 years in prison.

i knew that you would be the first to write that.^^

anyway, the 50 years are probably BS, but he sure as heck will get more than 3 months and it's kinda sad how this whole megaupload affair gets more attention by the media than the killing of 24 civilists by u.s. marines (or the ridiculous sentence to be precise).

I wouldn't be half as offended about that situation if the process legitimately ran it's course and, as a result, the guy got 3 months.  The disgusting part to me is just how obvious it was that it was being swept under the rug.

I'm out of paper bowls at home, so I went to the university cafe for breakfast.  The egg on my breakfast sandwich exploded.

I'm going to need some context for the timing of this explosion.  Did you receive the sandwich, with a pre-exploded egg?  Did you bite into your sandwich and experience sudden ovum detonation?  What on earth happened?
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

They gotta talk to my moogle, then.

On the other hand, I now know that there's basically only one employee at the cafe here that actually knows how to use the grill, so I can avoid getting food from the other people.

As some of you may or may not know, I do some non-profit cooking from time to time. A.t.m. we are only three people doing this on a regular basis and as a result, we are quite good at it. So when I take time from my studies to go and cook a meal that even has several guests wanting to thank me for making such a good meal at such a low price I do not expect the guy temporarily in charge to come and bitch about how I should make the pies thinner and give everyone a third of a pie instead of a fourth of a thicker one. After having to pause our rushed work (which includes cooking and continuously assigning tasks to 5 other guys)  for 5 minutes to listen to how he makes pies at home I think my entire crew should get a prize for not answering his question "How do you keep them this juicy?" with "Because we do not make them paper thin like you do!".

Seriously, man. We're doing this for free and cooking is not synonymous with "Doing exactly as this recipe once read says", cut us some slack.
I'm what's staring back from the abyss.
How come you guys never wave?

Please send me a PM if you give me kudos. I'm interested in what I'm doing right.

Nothing worse than someone bitching about how they think you should be doing your work.

EDIT: Oh, wait, there is: someone bitching about how they think you should be doing THEIR work.
