What the hell, you went to A&E and they didn't x-ray your hand, what the fuck?! Clinical negligence!  We x-ray people at my hospital if there's even a hint they may have broken something
At first I just visited a GP, because I thought I had only pulled a muscle or something and wanted to get some free painkillers. Then I was told I had a torn ligament, but it should heal. Went in again, to the same doctor, and got the same answer, but I complained loud enough to get sent to A&E. The UK can be confounding and backwards at times.

Makes sense.  Why check for a broken bone if the patient isn't in enough pain to think it might be broken himself?  It's just a waste of money if they x-rayed everything...
What do I win?

That may be the case, but I once broke my arm, and it frankly was nowhere near the worst pain I've ever felt in my life.  Even recently, I slipped on ice and whacked my knee really nastily.  No serious damage, but I wanted to cut my leg off it hurt so bad.

Yeah, joints tend to have more nerve endings than the actual limbs they are attached to.

My personal worst pain is still the kidney stones, despite having had surgery on my foot (the aftermath hurt, but I was over that in two days; it took me a month to be able to walk without pain killers whenever the stone acted up).

There's also the fact that you have natural painkillers, and the bigger the injury, the more are released.  And if you want to see a map of how much it'll hurt if you get injured in a certain area, just google "sensory homunculous".

My online job is switching to a new system which my boss needs to be trained to use so she can train us.  May go two months without a paycheck because of it.

I am not happy.

After buying and "beating" The Witcher after about 2 hours (which is to say, the game lost all challenge to me after that time), I've found it and decided to install it on a new machine, patch it up, and see if the patches have dealt with any of the challenge issues the game had.

...holy fucking hell, why do I need to install 5 patches to get all the way up to date?  Hasn't anyone thought of making a one-click from initial release version to "this is what you paid for, but we didn't give it to you on the disk" version?

That's one of the reasons I own it digitally.

iv just been told/found out that the navy has changed its uniforms drastically.

its now standard to have blue camies and what looks like a marines outfit.

blue camo? they say its not for blending in, just a working uniform that wont show spots as easily.

my ass, they wanted camo to be like the others. some strange 'uniformity' concept, except they went w/ blue/grey/white instead of greens or dessert.

and the marine looking thing is just flat wrong. its a good looking uniform, on a marine. now they have tons of 'long haired' marine 'officers' running around. wtf.  :banghead

(navy hair standards are drastically different to marines)
(navy ranks tend to have birds on them that resemble a colonel)

officer

navy enlisted

so somehow, they made the navy even gayer. and not in a good way.  :shakefist

Anyone fancy lending me a £1,000?  So financially fucked.  If my funding were evenly spread across the year I'd be fine but its not and I have to wait until April 14th until I get paid and I have no money to pay for 1. rent 2. food.  Fuck fuck fuck you NHS Bursary services

...and then I spend all day on a ward with consultants changing their mind about discharges every other second.  Which as I'm the one arranging care packages makes me look like a tit when I have to phone up to say "actually, scrap that, they won't be home for that time after all".

I hate how streaky my luck is...

First, I find out that my Nook doesn't know how to handle .zip files, and that it's Pandora browser can't read .pdf files.  Handouts made through my school's website can either be viewed through a browser as a .pdf, or downloaded as a .zip file.

Second, I am a math tutor and one of my clients frantically wanted to move his weekly appointment to 8:30 last night instead of it's usual time earlier on a previous day.  He no-shows, and I get a text after 9pm telling me that he's sorry, he hope he didn't inconvenience me, and that he overslept.

Third, I heard something on Fox News Radio and agreed with it.

Fourth, in my shitty math class, the professor just spent the 4th straight lecture talking about ODE's of the form of y'' + py' + qy = g.

Fifth, in my good math class, I was furiously writing out proofs on an exam for pretty much the entire class period.  At the end of the class, I had answered about 2/3 of the questions.

Sixth, I have a job working next to a giant MRI scanner that's primarily used for research.  Normally this means that people come in, get their brains scanned while doing stuff, and then leave.  Today, this meant... parts... of some kind... being scanned, and the scans being displayed for us all to see on a giant monitor that was just installed last week.  Right after I had eaten lunch.

Yeah, I'm done.  This week is over if I have to bludgeon it to death with a dismembered leg.

Also, I need to stop thinking about dismembered legs.

If you are referencing episode 18... That wasn't Derpy; that was a unicorn with her coloring/an earth pony with similar coloring.

Unless you are talking about something else... then the muffinocalypse shall begin!
