True that.
I've been working at that place on a regular basis for 3.5 years now. For 2 of those years I've worked more or less exclusively in the kitchen and people consider me to be a damn good cook who prepares the food in a good way (and I live up those expectations). If he wants to complain about petty details he should consider that I spend 80-100 hours working there each term. Had I charged them they would pay most of my rent (even at a low salary).
I'm what's staring back from the abyss.
How come you guys never wave?

Please send me a PM if you give me kudos. I'm interested in what I'm doing right.

When I bit into it.

The government wants your sniper rifle.
They gotta talk to my moogle, then.

On the other hand, I now know that there's basically only one employee at the cafe here that actually knows how to use the grill, so I can avoid getting food from the other people.

"Is Bob cooking?"

 :blush no

"Fuck it, I'm out."

Checked GitP's forums today. TWF that doesn't suck got my attention and I read it. One feat to double your attacks per round, oh and if you do invest three feats into TWF you can daze/kill your opponent multiple times per round. Someone pointed out it's a little strong and his rebuttal is and I quote
"Let's look at a 1st level Rogue Str 14, Dex 16, with TWF (let's say she gets weapon finesse as a bonus feat just to be fair) compared to a 1st level Barbarian Str 18 with Power Attack. When the Rogue sneak attacks with two Shortswords the action looks like this: +3/+3, 2d6+2/2d6+1. When the Barbarian rages with his Greatsword, power attacking for -1, the action looks like this +6, 2d6+11. Against an AC of 15, the Rogue deals an average adjusted damage of 7.65 per round while the Barbarian deals an average adjusted damage of 10.8. If the Rogue didn't have Weapon Finesse, which is almost a given, then this looks even worse."

Clicked close tab, I've gotten enough reminders why to avoid their forums for today.

Then perhaps you should discuss it on these forums.

Wait it's here too? omg.

Be proud of me, I was as nice as I could be and I didn't reference Lightning Warrior style jokes even once.

I have learned that I would prefer sharp, intermittent pain over dulling, throbbing pain that builds up over time. I had a wisdom tooth extracted three weeks ago, and I now have dry socket. I am in constant agony. For some reason, the pain has been getting worse with time, not better, to the point where I cannot go more than an hour without pain medication.

That and I have no insurance or money to get this pain checked out. Goodness fuck.
I finally went to the doctor, and it turned out to be an infected salivary gland. My dentist must have blocked it when he stabbed me with the stupid novacaine needle over and over.

Long story short, as long as I take antibiotics and make myself salivate, things should improve. Occasionally drinking lime juice has already cut my pain in half, after 1 night! Guess this is the wrong thread, but it's follow-up, you know?

At least it's being resolved, then.  What's special about lime juice that fights this kind of infection?  Or is it just something in there that makes you salivate more?

Salivation helps the infected gland unblock, so stimulating it into more salivation is very good. Lime juice makes me drool... which is good in theis case!

The antioxidants contained therein and pH changes locally will likely also be contributing factors to the improvement.

I found out yesterday that a coworker is leaving in two weeks, and it's likely he won't be replaced. Going from three developers down to two is going to be a big pain in the ass.

Yesterday did four hours more work than I was supposed to (8.30 - 8.35) with no lunch break.  Two child protection cases, 1 adult safeguarding case, one emergency residential placement.  Went out for a pint after work, sat down to enjoy it, some drunken twat sits next to me and instantly proceeds to spill his drink all over me.  Then started following me around talking about how he was reading a book Russian tsars.  I wanted to hit him, actually wanted to hit him and I never feel like that.

He also had the cheek to try and skank some cigarettes of me!
Something inside me dies when I see the word fallacy applied to ideas held about roleplaying. And a small bit of vomit comes up when I see a character called a 'toon'.

I find it best in these situations to smile lazily and say "Pardon me kind sir,I would love to stay and listen to your story, truly I would.  But alas I must return home as I have left a 12 year old boy chained to the radiator in my basement and I am afraid if I don't feed the dogs in time they will turn to him as an emergency food source."

I wish to eat your fucking LIVER deep-fried with onion rings, marinated in a sauce made of your blood as I drink the blood of your descendants from their skulls and make their pets watch.

That...sounds oddly delicious.  Probably because of the frying.
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

It's probably a good thing I don't have access clearance to learn where she lives.
