If I had to choose either both bacteria and my guts or neither, I'd choose both.  Infections suck, but I'll take pretty much any level of pain or discomfort over puking.

Around two and a half weeks ago I was in an ironic little incident that resulted in me damaging my right hand. The good news is that the thumb is not broken. The bad news is that there is at least a torn ligament there that still hasn't healed. So MRI next week, possibly a surgery, depending on how bad it is. According to the doctor it should've healed by now if it were to heal naturally.

Man, torn ligaments are a total BITCH. Sorry to hear that.  :-\

With any luck maybe it's just your body being slow about it.

On that note, I recently found there's a ganglionic cyst on my knee about 5 centimeters in diameter. I'm going in for a doc's appointment tomorrow so he can take a look at the MRI I took and see what will be needed to deal with this bad boy - surgery, most likely.

So hey, if we both go in under the knife, we can recover together.  :D

Capitalism, ho!

That would be the 2 months of Christmas, not VD (how appropriate is that abbreviation for the holiday?)

Extremely? Because it is the appropriate abbreviation?
Why, what does VD mean to you?

Isn't that the abbreviation for venereal disease, too?

Gr, I've got a cold, which means I may be too sick and miserable/headachey to draw a nice piece of art for my lad. Is letting him keep a significant fraction of the bouncyballs he got me a sufficient gift for the time being?

Nah probably not....

I want to draw a scantily clad wild elf couple. Wild elves are pretty sexy. Regretting deciding they were heavily tattooed a bit though. Tattoos are complicated.

Maybe I'll post them in the art thread if I get around to it. What should I do to unclog my head.

Drink tea, take a hot shower, or my personal favorite: use a Neti Pot (but make sure to use filtered or boiled water).  I did that last night and it worked WONDERS.

Can't do Neti Pot without panicking so I'll do the other two.

Once I figure out the shower's recharge time on hot water, possibly repeatedly.

In my experience a humidifier can do wonders as well.
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

Also eat garlic, it boosts the immune system so you'll get over the cold faster.  Doesn't have to be raw, you can finely dice a few cloves and cook it in some chicken soup or whatever.

If you want ideas on how to cook with garlic, feel free to ask. I've turned it into an art form

SMBC Theater agrees.

My wife's birthday is today, and since we've had kids and cats, she actually wants less and less for Valentine's day each year. She's already getting presents, so she doesn't want those. She doesn't want candy or chocolates because she doesn't want the temptation to eat them. She doesn't want flowers because the cats eat them, and we have to hide them anyway. Going out to eat is a pain in the ass with kids, and we're going out for her birthday, anyway.

So, really, I put more effort into Valentine's day for my three-year-old (I'm getting her a balloon, and that will totally make her day week) than for my wife. :smirk
