Yeah, the world is full of stupid as hell people. But bear in mind, those who try to better the people around them get their teachings perverted and turned against the original goals.

And I do not have the spare time to write up my school stories. Suffice it to say, pre-college schooling is a topic sure to set me into a full rage. The system is FUCKED. (In the USA; worse in some areas than it is in others.)

Okay, my turn. My secondary school was specialized in educations that were made for people who wanted to go to college and study medicine or natural sciences. At least 60% of the students there claimed that they did not believe in evolution (among other things) and that the bible held all the answers a human needs.

When I used Open RPG, members of the Dicefreaks forum had their own server, and routinely "dice-bombed" all the other open D&D servers (basically spamming them with dice rolls until they crashed). When we complained to the server admin, he basically said "deal with it."

The point was "in D&D, crafters get better at crafting by killing stuff, and you can't get better at crafting without also getting better at killing - and some people find that immersion breaking" or at least that was what I got out of what you said.
