The other day I
alter selfed into a wraith (as a necropolitan). The DM said that incorporeality is not a gross physical trait and ruled I would be only a floating sheet. One of the other players came to my defense, crying out that a lack of physical features is a gross physical feature.
When the DM said that using a 2nd-level spell to become incorporeal would be too broken, the player's defense for me was, "But
alter self is ALREADY broken! It's the most broken 2nd-level spell in the game!"
