As someone who worked in Ohio's distribution center for that stuff, you really don't wanna drink it.  You should see the stuff it turns into when people spill and dont immediately clean it up.

it curdles into black slime eventually.  It kind of smells like an open sewer so the flies love it.

Since that stuff is heart failure in a can I'd probably avoid it even if the taste and/or idea of becoming hyper appealed to me
I'm what's staring back from the abyss.
How come you guys never wave?

Please send me a PM if you give me kudos. I'm interested in what I'm doing right.

I fucking hate people who ask for help and then ignore or dismiss any ideas or suggestions that are given to them, because they know better. WHY ARE YOU FUCKING ASKING FOR HELP THEN?! You're just wasting other peoples time! :shakefist

honest answer:
perhaps the ideas that you happen to be giving them have already been considered.

Really? All ideas from multiple different people? Well, if that person is such a genius that he considered everything, then it would be very appropriate to list what he already though off and didn't like, so people can think on something else or not waste time.

Just so you know: This rant was inspired by something I've experienced here, but it's not about a specific situation. I'm just ranting in general. It doesn't matter if I'm participating in such a thread, I still hate it.

Think about that. Really think. You want someone who has thought something through, then ended up at an impasse, to list each and every thought that they've had leading up to the impasse?

The list would be too long.

Personally, I try to consider what is suggested to me, and see if I can't twist it into an answer I can use. And I try to be nice from either end, unless the other guy was an ass first. But that's me.

On a base line, and being out of context though: I agree with you. It is annoying if they put down many responses with no further explanation or clarification on what they want.

He could at least list the more obvious or straightforward things he considered. And he doesn't have to be that specific. I'm just asking for something.

Or, like I said, build on it with the first few responses. But some people there is just no helping.

Two things:

I had another ingrown toenail cut out today. The portion removed was half an inch wide and nearly an inch long.

And for those who don't know: The house I currently live in has been in foreclosure for nearly 13 months now, as our landlord hasn't been paying since 4 months prior to us moving in. We've just received a letter of default, as he hasn't shown up for any court hearings and the banks are unable to get in touch with him.

So are they at least going to allow you sufficient time to find a new place :(

I honestly don't know. Worst comes to worst, there's a house up for sale across the street from this one that isn't owned by that asshole. My dad may be able to scrape together enough to get a downpayment on it, at which point we should be fine (but I'll have to find a job guaranteed if that happens).

Best case scenario, the bank seizes the house from him and allows us to continue living here. Florida law allows this, and it would let us finally have the freedom of renovating it without needing to deal with someone who can't even speak basic English.

If you can scrape a down payment, maybe you could get it out of the foreclosure sale for cheaps.

Hate to say it, but this is unlikely.  Banks want to drive housing prices up by foreclosing and demolishing as many houses as they can.  At the very least, the big banks do.  As such, if the lender is local then your chances on this one are better.

I don't know if I've said this before, and you're not in any way obligated to answer, but some stuff I think is worth thinking about: what's the state of the mortgage?  Does the bank owning the mortgage paper actually have foreclosure rights?  Can they prove that they have foreclosure rights, or even ownership over any portion of the mortgage?  I have no idea if the law would allow it or not, but you should still be able to sue your (former?) landlord in absentia given how obvious it is he's ducking the authorities.  Since the only assets of his around is the house you're living in, you might be awarded it.  Judges really aren't fond of people who ditch court hearings.

I've just gotten friendzoned, HARD.

Sometimes I wish I actually drank alcohol so I could black this one out.
So why don't you drink now if you want to?

Because I have no idea if it will work, I need to work the next day, and I have NO idea whatsoever what a lack of impulse control will do to me, considering how I'm normally more than a little crazy WITH impulse control.
Working the next day is a valid reason. However, I don't understand why people would make absolute decisions like never drinking, never doing this and that. Seems silly to me.

I had a near-death experience at birth, and have had enough health problems throughout my life that I don't want alcohol or drugs to add even more problems, nor do I want to spend my money on either for the sake of having better ways to use it.

But that's just me, and I don't have a problem with my friends' smoking/drinking times (I do accompany them every now and again, but usually because we play poker when they do).

I had a near-death experience around 19 years after my birth, never stopped me. I am not saying I have anything against decisions not to have alcohol, but I don't understand categorical decisions not to do something. It is definitely more than okay not to drink or do whatever, but I think making a permanent, binding decisions don't make sense. If you break that, you are just going to feel bad, while refraining and perhaps erring at some point won't be nearly as bad for your mental health.
