I don't know how its physically going to be possible to do everything I need to do over the next few weeks.

I have to finish my portfolio for my placement (about a 90 page document), finish the placement itself (9hour days in an emergency department), do a 20 minute presentation tomorrow, hand in two 4,000 word essays, find and interview someone to move into my room, visit my family before I leave the country, oh, and pack up all my shit and leave the country.  While still trying to find the time to say a proper goodbye to and spend time with the people I love not least the friends that I've lived with for the past 7 years.

So unbelievably stressed.  I'm getting bruxism from it, sleeping badly, not having time to eat properly and, oh man, I really just want a night and a day off to be extremely drunk and then hungover watching Twin Peaks or something.
Something inside me dies when I see the word fallacy applied to ideas held about roleplaying. And a small bit of vomit comes up when I see a character called a 'toon'.

You're either going to explode from all this or end up completely exhausted. My advice? Either prioritize and set some things aside NOT to do (maybe put your leaving the country off for a little while?) or bite the bullet and face the shit you've gotta do. Put the (relatively) easier things first, you'll get more done.

Sorry there isn't much I can do to help you with that.

Putting leaving the country off isn't really an option as I have a job offer.  However, presentation=done. Portfolio=handing in today.  Housemates are doing the interviewing of replacements (should be them anyway, they're the ones that'll have to live with the person moving in not me).  Need sleep now though.

This week gets worse and worse.  My house has been burgled.  They've stolen 4 laptops, money, jewellery, ipods, my house-mates passport and paper driving license, bank details and that's just what we have been able to inventory before the forensics guy has come round.

On a positive note the police in Haringey (North London, scene of the riots) sent a forensics officer to the house within 10 minutes.

Any Wii game: stfu I know the battery in the remote is low.

THE SCREEN BLACKS OUT OR PAUSES IF THE REMOTE CONNECTION IS LOST.
So why in the fuck do I care if it's getting low? Am I so poor I can't afford to own a package of batteries on hand? Am I to conserve my playing time for later when I really need to procrastinate? For fuck's sake, shut the hell up already while I get my money's worth.

In other news, two threads discuss type casting Spellcasting within the last week, so I found a new sig that showcases six of the seven illogical fallacies and reminds you just what I think of people that would attempt to say it's Ex. I really should archive my sigs, the text limits force me to not beat around the bush as much.

Last essay before the vacation, but I got a writer's block. The general topic is interesting, but the essay topic is too detailed for me to get my creative gear on.

Had to leave work early the other night. Couldn't think, speak or see clearly. Severe vertigo, confusion, disorientation, et cetera. Didn't feel any better after getting some rest. Went to ER. My sinuses were so swollen that it was putting pressure on my braincase, putting pressure on my brain. Am unclear as to whether I actually had sinus backup in my brain.

Still having trouble.

Think it's funny that after having been called such many times, I now have an ER doctor tell me that I literally am a snot-head.

Can't wait for the next time someone calls me that.
"Actually, I was a snot-head once. But I got medicated. Also: that was very unpleasant, one of the top 5 worst experiences of my life; I thought I was going to die, and as I understand it, I could've."

For the record, when someone calls me a smart-ass:
"Hey, I can't help it that you're so stupid that I have more brain-cells in my ass than you do in you whole body."

No, no, you gotta go the semantics route:

"I'd rather be a smartass than a dumbass, eh?"

Yeah, but that's been thrown around for years. By being unique, it proves that I'm smarter than the average bear. A parrot can mimic a quote it's heard, I made my own.

Though I don't feel smart right now. Unless that's what is the real source of the pressure in my head. Acute adult neurogenesis.  :eh

I speak English.  The people I talk to also speak English.  Why the hell is it, then, that what they're saying doesn't make sense?

To be fair, I am not a native speaker and I know my written and spoken output leave a great deal to be desired, but I always feel the slightest touch of desperation when I read a native speaker's text and have no clue what he is trying to say.

Dude, if this level of written output "leaves a great deal to be desired" for you, I'd hate to see what "perfect in every way" is.

High standards, I suppose. My Finnish is extremely elaborate and eloquent, so I don't like lagging behind in English.

I, on the other hand, express myself considerably better in English than I do in my native tongue. I NEVER stutter in English, but I do in Portuguese. Crazy shit, I know.

One would think my English would be better than this as well. All education (apart from Finnish lectures) in high school were in English and now I live in Scotland. Curiously, I am still the guy who gets asked to read through all the essays of other Finns. I probably spend more time doing that than writing my own papers. Thank god they pay me in the most valuable of currencies, alcohol.

I know the feeling. I am aware of the fact that my written English is inferior to my spoken (I'm not satisfied with that one either). Yet rather recently I was told by an Australian girl that she would've believed me if I told her I was from the UK.
