Items granting spells

When you have an item that grants the use of spells, like...

Quote from: MIC p.205
GOGGLES OF THE GOLDEN SUN
[...]
In addition, three times per day you can activate these goggles and sacrifice a prepared spell or spell slot of 3rd level or higher to use fireball (as the spell; Reflex DC 14 half), using your own caster level or that of the goggles, whichever is higher.

... can you use it to activate another item, like...
Quote from: MIC p.80
BRACERS OF THE ENTANGLING BLAST
[...]
When you activate these bracers, the next spell you cast or spell-like ability you use deals only half its normal damage; however, any creature damaged by the spell becomes entangled for 1d3 rounds,

As long as activating both items is possible action-wise (no more than one requires a swift or standard or the like), yes.  You are casting that Fireball, for instance, not the Goggles.
What do I win?
An awesome-five for mentioning Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.

Yeah, i forgot to mention that... The goggles are activated as "standard (mental)" (i assume it takes over the time of casting the spell it grants) and the bracers are activated as a swift action. So it's ok...

To better clarify this, the sequence would be: activate bracers and activate the goggles to cast fireball, entangling all caught in the fireball's area.

Thanks for the input!
