She's ALWAYS had a bounty, since long before Negima. Just that nobody's ever managed to claim it. Nagi came the closest, but he was less interested in taking her down and more interested in making her stop trying to seduce him.

Also, gotta love the genre-savyness of that bounty hunter "Why use cold-minded professionals when I can send in a bunch of hot blooded kids?" 

Anyway, did Evangeline grew up, or does she now simply stays in adult magic mode all the time?

Just curious how exactly Negima vampires are suposed to work. They can get colds, eat normal food, walk in the sunlight whitout a worry, don't have any bats/wolves, and nobody ever tries to stake them trough the heart.

Oh, and who else noticed that Touta Konoe is 1/4 vampire on the grandparent's side? So now he's 5/4 vampire!

No shortage of governments. She's still wanted for mass murder, even if it was technically self defense. She left a trail of chaos and death along her path for hundreds of years, which only stopped when people stopped trying to kill her, and finally disappearing from the public view.

Noting of course, that people were hunting her on the basis of the...rather impressive physique of her adult form rather than her true form.

Evangeline's age is static as a result of her condition, but it's much harder to make a proper impression when you look nine and sulky, so given that she has the power to maintain an adult transformation indefinitely, why not? Also, she's not exactly a good example of a vampire, since she was an original experiment by the Lifemaker, with no vampiric ancestor.

Her age is doubtless the same spell in the ageing pills that showed up so often in Negima. I remember as much being mentioned when they were introduced, or around then.

The illness problems in Negima are due to going from magically powerful vampire to perpetual ten year old student. Not good for resilience. The sunlight thing she earned--High Daylight Walker is one of her many, many titles. And blowing her chest mostly away doesn't do much, so staking...

Anyone else notice that Touta probably has three grandmothers, and is 1/8 tengu from one side?

I guess the question is whether Touta also counts as a shinsou. Presumably yes, since he doesn't seem to have any trouble with sunlight, but for all we know Akamatsu's going to introduce some hierarchy of vampire breeds that makes WoD look straightforward.

I think it's... Tale of the Bad Mage in Negima, or one of Eva's early chapters? She wasn't innately immune to sunlight, it's just a weakness that's overcome with experience. She seems to have passed the immunity on, somehow. XD

Hopefully Akamatsu will at least sort out what abilities being a vampire gives. Practical unkillability seems to be part of it, no amount of damage even seems to get Eva to stop talking.

I think a good indicator that things have gone badly wrong is if she actually casts anything. Without a magic nullifying piece of jewellery conveniently being tricked into her possession.

So I've been reading the Negima! Omnibus books by Kodansha Comics.  The translations are slightly different, especially in regards to pop culture phrases.  Overall I haven't seen any fan outrage, but I wouldn't be surprised if some purists out there are getting upset.

The gratuitous fanservice of Mahou Sensei Negima! has not deterred me from the series, either.

Someone on TVTropes said that most of what Negima does isn't fanservice so much as Naked People Are Funny.

Now Highschool DxD, on the other hand, is straight fanservice. No one believes me when I say I watch it for the plot.

Prime, do you perhaps read DxD light novel? If not, please start it now. And hold onto your sanity, because you will need it.

Well, given that she skipped the entire incantation and went gloriously overkill, I suppose it is worth being impressed. And the high-levels spells are a bit... problematic. Ensis Exsequens isn't very flashy and just deadly, Endless White Nine Heavens is useless in this context and a OHKO, and Kosmike Katastrophe... might cause things that are a bit hard to regenerate from. So this sort of thing's the best that can really be used.
