Way's to get knocked down, but get up again?

I'm trying to compile a list of ways to either die and then come back, or to prevent your death when it would otherwise occur. Here's what I've found so far:

  • Lich's Phylactery: Respawn 1d10 days after death. No drawbacks other than your Phylactery can be destroyed.
  • Ghost's Rejuvenation: Respawn 2d4 days after death. Have to make a level check, but don't lose your equipment.
  • Vampire's Coffin Sanctuary: Enter gaseous form with immunity to damage immediately when you would die from being reduced to zero hit points and flee to your coffin to recover. You can still be chased down and killed. Doesn't protect against non-damaging effects.
  • Telflammar Shadowlord's Shadow Discorporation: Cease to exist until the next sunset whenever you are in a shadowy location and would be reduced to zero or fewer hit points. You have to make a reflex save proportional to the damage you received. Doesn't protect against non-damaging effects.
  • Resurrection/True Resurrection/Raise Dead/Revivify/Wish/Miracle
  • Tarrasque Regeneration: Keeps you from ever dying. Pretty difficult to obtain unless you are actually the Tarrasque.
  • Maurid ID Core Respawn: Respawn 24 hours after death. The Maurid template prevents you from gaining experience.

I would like to fill out this lst further, as well as discuss which options are best and why, and perhaps later try and make a character that is just obnoxiously difficult to kill/keep dead.

Psionic's Fiery Discorporation.

A few other undead. There's one that's in constant pain. So ... worse than death.

Death Pact (Spell Compendium) - take 2 Con drain in order to get True Rezz'd the next time you die.  The Con drain can't be healed til the Pact is activated or dispelled.
Pact of Return (Heroes of Horror) - Guess what will kill you within the next hour/level, and if you guess correctly, you get immediately resurrected with no level loss.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

Deathstalker of Baal (Dragon 322, p92) gets as automatic raise death 1 hour after dying as the 5th-level ability.

Jade Phoenix Mage's capstone allows you to blow up and then revive a day (is it? can't remember exactly) later...

Magic Jar - your host body dies, but you live on -- iff you're within range of your jar.

Astral Form - astral form dies, you just snap back to your body.

A Xorvintal Dragon Special ability lets you go comatose for 10 minutes and then full heal when you would die of HP damage.

Well, there's Teflammar Shadowlord, which gives an ability (called Shadow Discorporation or something like that) that let's you ressurect automatically 2 days after you die. I think. (long time since I last played nightcrawler).

Also, an always-on regeneration - like war shaper fast healing- can do the trick, if only for dramatic purposes (get knocked to -5 HP and come back from the dead 3 rounds later). Combined with Hellreaver healing, you can't come back from dead, but always will come back from near death.

Close Wounds (SpC) can stop someone from dying from hit point damage.

Cocoon can negate the level/Con loss of coming back to life, and can reincarnate a person.

Reincarnate.

Contingent Spell Lock (Ghostwalk) - can transfer some spells/spell slots to be used AFTER dying.

Delay Death (SpC) - cannot die from hp damage

Exemplars of Evil has a Monk ACF where you basically play dead as an immediate action.  While you're pretending to be mostly dead you're immune to a whole lot of stuff.  Then you just wake back up again when you're ready.

touchstone feat has a site that grants a contingent true res as the greater ability.

sandshaper prestige gets free res as capstone ability if you are buried in sand. contingent summon sand or similar?

cloud anchorite prestige gets unaging, undying, immortality as capstone, but that doesn't prevent death from damage, etc.

4e EpicD's almost every one has a No Death ability.
