I might be interested in playing, provided I have enough time (always an issue with only one computer in a house of four). I'd be most interested in Healer, or maybe Battle Dancer.

Which leaves me asking - are there any restrictions on books used? Which books are open can change a lot regarding what you can do with a Healer.

I'd like to play, and be a knight. Always wanted to do one of those.

We don't know the restrictions because there is no DM! All of this is probably going to be purely hypothetical, unfortunately...

I saw that. Also saw a possible someone maybe taking up the reins. I can hold out.

Forgive me for being a little unacquainted with play-by-posting here. Should I start a new thread for general rules and guidelines for character creation and such, or should we keep that stuff here and just create a new thread once we actually get started?

We could probably keep this one until the game gets approved, and its own thread gets opened up. Be the most practical way of doing it.

Alright, I like the sound of that. Here's my character creation guidelines:

  • 3d6 for stat generation, though you may reroll 1s.
  • All source books are allowed, 3rd party material is prohibited, and Dragon Magazine content must be approved before use.
  • Starting at level 1 with standard character wealth.
  • Have fun with it  :D

Sound fair?

No 32 point system? If not, how about 4d6, keep the best 3? As well, want it pointed out whether or not the stats can be put anywhere, or if you have to put the rolled numbers in order of stats.

Point Buy is generally easier for PBP.

Looks like there are a buncha folks already interested, but if there is space I'd like to get in on this  :)

EDIT:  Between real life picking back up and my internet connection becoming intolerably spotty I don't think I'll be joining in.  :(

Point-Buy may be easier, I suppose. Very well, 32 point-buy it is. I'm not quite sure how many people are involved just yet, but I would surmise there is room for you Calico.

I would like to suggest Myth Weavers as the site for PbP character sheets.

To be honest, I'd like to keep the character sheets in this thread for the time being. Consolidation is user friendly after all  :D

With that said, feel free to post your characters here once you have them ready. Once we have about four or so ready, I'll host the actual adventure in a new thread in the appropriate place.

I meant using that site for the character sheets as that site has them, and then link the back here.

Since I'm going for a knight, and they don't normally get a horse without first buying one, I'd like one of my 1st level feats to be Wild Cohort. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/re/20031118a and get a heavy horse. They don't get the Mounted Combat feat until 2nd, but it seems like a waste to not be able to get any kind of use out of it. Approved? Not 3rd party, no source book, and not Dragon Magazine.

EDIT: Also, what's the rules on character traits, and flaws. Are we allowed any?

That seems absolutely fine to me.

As for traits and flaws, I do not allow them. Sorry 'bout that.
