What about Pathfinder? Or strictly 3.5?

Full wealth or average?

I hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri rock! I need scissors! 61!

In my first post when there was no DM, I said I'd like to try a ninja. That being said, ShadowViper, are you playing one, or were you doing one of the other options?

Also, is there still room in this game?

To keep things simple, let's keep things strictly 3.5. I doubt Pathfinder would bring much T5/T6 to the table anyway.

Average wealth.

Yes, RobbyPants, there is still room. I've only had one character submitted so far, though there seems to be a fair amount of interest so far. I won't start until we have a total of four, so it's first come first served.

I'll start working on putting my character together once I have the chance. I'll probably be playing a Healer.

Hm, no flaws does hurt some, I admit, but I think I can handle it.

Incidentally, Mythweavers seems to be doing an intentional blackout right now.

Average wealth.
Only average? Shoot. I assumed we were getting full wealth. I'll have to tweak my character considerably then, and somehow lose 90 gold worth of stuff.

Can I please ask for full, or at least for the starting package worth of gold? The knight's starting packages are all over 150 gold. Even if you took away the gold left over, it's still a few gold over.

Okay, scratch my Soulborn idea. The class is so terrible I don't even know how to build something out of it. Also, I feel like it would be somewhat redundant with kevin video's Knight. I'll go for a Lurk (Complete Psionic p.13), since it is considered T5 AFAIK.

I'm thinking a Paladin/Ninja multiclass, using Serenity for the Paladin half; that is, if the Dragon Magazine Compendium is allowed (last time I checked, it was legal 3.5 1st party material.)

Other than that...

A Rokugan Ninja might make a nice dip for a Monk build; that splittable Dodge bonus is shmexy on so many levels, especially for a couple of feats out there...

Mmmm... Monk going Drunken Master... Nice!

Some questions:

1) reposting: Preferred alignment, people?

@SleepyShadow specifically:

2) What's the say on taking PrCs' level(s) in the long run?
3) Will you use the default rules magic/psionics transparency? Using the variant looks so messy.

I guess that's it. I should be able to post a sheet soon after these are answered.

Myth-Weavers is back up, so I've started work on the character sheet.

Ruling question - can I take Aasimar to Half-Celestial transition levels as a Lesser Aasimar?

Also, the Spell Compendium advises expanding the Healer class' spell list within certain limits (IIRC, other healing spells, some protections, spells that provide for physical needs, and spells that are variants of the ones on their base spell list). Is that acceptable?

Thinking Dwarven Samurai for the moment.

Why only four?

And usually first come first served means, those to show interest first rather than those that have their character sheets done first.

And full wealth is usually better as well.

I haven't made my character yet, and I think I'll bow out of this one.

I think in this case it's because people have said that they're interested, but haven't actually done anything to prove it.

@Amechra: I'll even be nice and let Ninja Dodge count as the Dodge feat to prerequisite for stuff  :D

@Shiki: As long as you qualify for the prestige class, you may take it. My only caveat is that you cannot use items to meet the prerequisites (ex. Ring of Evasion, Armor of Mobility, etc.).

@ShadowViper and Kevin Video: Kevin, you are correct. We have about four pages of people saying they are interested, but so far you're the only one that's actually made a character. Viper, feel free to use either CW Samurai or OA Samurai. As for your questions, I'm starting at four players because it seems getting three more people to create characters is as difficult as pulling shark teeth. Having a character ready in this case does indicate actual interest. Lastly, I'm not budging on the average wealth bit. Assuming the party's first act of adventure is not riding gallantly off a cliff, you will be just fine for gold.

For those who might want to try an Expert, is Iaijutsu Focus allowed?

I was really only aware of the CW Samurai, I'll check out the OA one, thank you.

Edit: I think I'll be sticking with the CW Samurai, will I be gaining the masterwork daisho(Katana & Wakizashi) in this case? Or just two standard weapons to start?

Okay, I'm planning something else: Soulknife/Fighter (Targetteer, Dragon #310)/Soulbow/Kensai.

Can I use that fighter variant? I'm planning on doing Soulknife 1/Targetteer 2/Soulknife +2 and then w/e, but I'd prefer asking now rather than later.

Damn, I'm already thinking of making something else... using DSP's monk.

@Kajhera: I am unfamiliar with either of those in great detail. I will look into them and get back to you.

@Jackinthegreen: Since I am allowing other OA material already, of course you have access to Iajutsu Focus.

@ShadowViper: You can have your free family daisho ... But you need to name your swords  :D

@Shiki: If you are trying to play a psionic monk, I suggest using the Tashalatora feat instead.

With ShadowViper's character near completion, we are at 2/4. Two in, two to fill!
