I now have a music keyboard that works with Synthesia.  The keys are small for my fingers and it's only 37 keys, but it'll still help me learn piano on my own time and since there's a visual aid it's going to work much better for me.

This is thanks to a USB to MIDI adapter, and hopefully we can get a couple female to female MIDI adapters for the bigger keyboard so I can use that instead.

Basically it's like the Line Rider stuff years ago but this time you're changing the landscape using math to get it working.  It's nice being able to fiddle with it and see how things turn out.  Alas, it could be better such as offering different graphing options that one can switch between as well as allowing stuff like x=y^2.

Another gem from reddit. The link takes you to a comment, that especifically is amazing in the context of this forum, but the prompt itself, and the responses, are amazing and must-reads. Really showcases the potential of such a campaign world.

So, the comment talks about how this prompt could be turned into a campaign setting, and all the possible adventure hooks one could apply to this. It's truly amazing. I just wish someone(bhu) that has already crafted several amazing homebrew creatures(bhu) would take notice of this amazing potential, and perhaps amuse us once more with his awesome skills. If you didn't catch my drift, i'm talking to you, Bhu.

Diseases that take the form of monsters and badass doctors that fight them with weapons especifically crafted to beat them? Mass manifestation of a disease in order to fight an epidemic resulting in Kaiju sized monsters that require international cooperation in order to defeat? Sign me the fuck up.

bhu, that icecube thing?  It's not even as awesome as that thing makes it seem.  They aren't cut.  They're 3D printed.  At least, the pictures below that main picture were from a set of 3D printed ice cubes, which I would assume is from that company and the story got it wrong?

The article I saw it on earlier said they were printed, but then in the comments it turned out that they are cut with a digital lathe.

We hard froze an egg today.

(click to show/hide)

Yes, that's an egg, that was "boiled" in liquid nitrogen until it was solid throughout.

A Taco Bell has opened within walking distance of my house.  This is how I die.

I recently started a business, a Taco Bell, which I just opened.  This weird guy keeps walking over here and ordering all of our burritos.  He scares me.  I think I shall invest in land mines.
Mudada.
