I just started playing Sorcerer's Kingdom.

Dear god, it is excellent, campy fun.

"The fire isn't enough! What will we do?"
"I will kill the beast!"

Oh, and the battles have a nice tactical element to them; the game got a lot easier when I figured out that the Battle command meant that I could instantly enter battle with every monster on the screen on my own terms.

I swear, the English translators had too much fun with that game.
