Bear meat is pretty tasty, especially if you kill it with a punch to the noggin, doesn't give it enough time to feel fear and tighten up the muscles.

I am trying to find a way to make a tasty steak on coffee sauce. YES I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY, but I think it can be pulled off.

I just need to figure out HOW.

Damn, you guys aren't helping. Now i REALLY want to eat some goddamn Venison. And Rabbit. And Moose.

Can a guy on a tourist visa legally hunt in the USA? Curious about that.

You have to jump through some REALLY complicated hoops to legally hunt here in Brazil, and you have to go in pretty deep into the jungle to do so. Alternatively, if you know someone with a large enough property, you can just do it, nobody gives a fuck anyway, it's pretty unlikely you'll ever get caught, especially if it's not something you do regularly. Too bad i don't know anyone like that...

But then again, the only large mammal worth hunting and eating are Capybaras, and, to be honest, i didn't think they were really good. Ok, at best, but suffice to say i have no desire to eat them again. Jacaré(Crocs), guess they're kind of ok, but again, not really my cup of tea. Snakes are again, kind of OK, but not really anything special.

I'm speaking for my general area, of course. I don't really know if down south or in the north there are more interesting things to hunt & eat but i never really heard about it.

You guys have it pretty good there in North America in regards to hunting.

I'm pretty sure that it won't be too painful, as long as you aren't looking to hunt stuff like bighorn.

Dood.

Rabbit confit is literal magic on a plate.

ANYthing confit is magic on a plate.

Buffalo is good for the same reasons cow is good.  Same with bison.  Except I think one reason is that thee animals are typically fed wild grasses whereas cows are fed farmed grains.  Especially here in the States, grassfed cows are tastier than the more normal corn fed cows.  Also, they have a redder red meat because of their environment.  So the get more exercise typically, a better diet, and are all around healthier.  Otherwise, they are essentially just cows.

Yes, most definitely the diet and exercise influences the taste, quite significantly. One of the tastiest most amazing things i have ever eaten in my whole life was a whole-roasted pig, slow-cooked over charcoal, filled with fruit & herbs. It was on the farm of a friend of my mother's friend, and the guy who did it told me how he stayed up ALL NIGHT while the pig slowly roasted over the charcoals, making sure to rotate it and keep the charcoals from burning too hot and making a fire. Also, the charcoals were homemade from a specific kind of wood (can't remember what wood though), which also impacts on the taste.

The skin was charred black, and beneath, the juiciest, most tender and buttery meat i have ever tasted in my life. I almost cry when i remember how amazing it tasted. I mean, seriously. I have never ever eaten a pig so delicious in my life. Ever. And i think it has to do with how the pig was raised free-roaming, eating mostly everything (as pigs normally do), and how it was slaughtered in a humane and pain-free way (which also has an impact on the taste & tenderness of the meat).

I mean, man, this happened 8 years ago or even earlier, and i still remember it. There's few things in life that you eat and can still remember how it tasted so many years afterwards. Food can be a life changing experience.

Bear can be good.  They're riddled with parasites and gristle, so you need to buy from someone who knows how to dress one properly.

It would be kinda bad publicity if they raze half the town they fight in, so my prediction is for a Gundam, since they usually have a better capacity to avoid collateral damage.

Now they said something about adding melee combat, so the real question is whetever they're bringing a giant katana, drills, plasma claymore, revolver fist, chain hammer or all of the previous.

All a matter of setting the fight in a remote location.

The Siberian tundra seems appropriate.

EDIT: Or they could bring a Gouf.

The first 7 issues of Death Vigil (an awesome comic featuring Death and her posse fighting eldritch horrors) are available in pdf format for free.

Issue 1
Issue 2
Issue 3

It's Japan so naturally it's going to be a LASER katana with a macross missile massacre in the chest.

Those missiles better be fired out of a roaring chest mounted lion head.

Can anybody whose original language is not English confirm this video's title for me?

Either way it seems like an interesting insight into how a language might sound to one who only partially understands it.

I swear I tried to understand what they were saying for a few minutes before I read the description and realized it wasn't meant to be.

But yeah, that sounds a lot like English sounded to me before I studied it.
