Removing a Weapon Enhancement
« on: March 24, 2014, 10:14:26 AM »
I was wondering if there was a way to remove weapon enhancements. I'm asking because our party picked up cursed weapons recently that cannot be dropped. Mine happens to be a +4 Bow with Brilliant Energy on it. I wouldn't normally mind too much if I didn't feel Splitting was inherently better. I feel I'm falling behind in damage output and this bow isn't helping anything.
(Note: I'm aware Brilliant Energy cannot be put on bows. The DM said he wasn't aware of this when he made it and was simply going to let it slide.)

Remove Curse/Break Enchantment, put the bow down, and buy one you prefer?  If that doesn't work, you're locked in a plot loop; rules won't help you.

That's not much of a curse... I'd say you should be able to sell this at a fairly decent price, if you can get the curse removed, but I do agree with Janthkin that it smells much like train tracks.

Artificer 1 can, but that zeros it.

Limited Wish "ought" to be able to do this.
Transfer it to a Sword +1, that you have to pay the normal mod cost.

You then just have that Bow you can't put down even when draining the dragon.
