Same Game Test Compendium
« on: November 17, 2011, 03:48:48 PM »
So a friend and I have been trying to put together a list of the same game tests that have been run over the years, but I can't find any sort of compendium or something like that. So what I propose is that people post the Same Game Tests that they've run or found on the internet, and I'll post/link them here so that we have an easily accessible resource.

Let's get to it.

Unfortunately that doesn't actually contain any tests that were run, it only explains what the SGT is. Thanks for the response though.

It also describes how to run them, and gives examples for levels 5, 10 and 15. While it does not present a nice example, it seems to me to be sufficient for running a SGT

I agree!  :) However, what I want to do is assemble a set of same game tests for people to reference when thinking about playing a particular class. I know how to run one, but I think it's good for people who don't know how to be able to reference them when they need to.

Bkdubs123 ran a factotum SGT over at BG two months ago.

That's perfect. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Somewhere in the bowels of the Expert vs. Monk thread on BG a Same Game Test was tried. Merely remembering that thread hurt my brain, however, so I won't go through it myself.

Doesn't the Gaming Den have a lot of them?  I seem to remember seeing that, but I'm not quite willing to wade through the invective again to find them :p

Ironically, I'd been thinking to do this since the board change. Really good idea, travellog

I'm not sure. I thought Frank ran a bunch of them, but I don't know if they made it on the boards. I thought he used something similar when PF was being developed, but I could be wrong. Even still, those posts would likely be at Paizo.

Thanks.

And yeah, I heard Frank ran quite a few. That said, it isn't exactly the friendliest board, and I don't know how willing I am to read through it all. I feel your pain Mooncrow.

I sorted through the thread and found the level 10 Monk SGT. It's not as detailed as I would like but it'll serve.
