Seems pretty good, regardless of the NSFW material, but you may've done it a bit too strong in raw numbers:
-Considering all the stuff it gets, double ability score progression, and that's supposed to be more of a roguish guy, it probably should have just average Bab.
-The bonus from Sake Affinity should last for the drunkness penalty durations. False Life in particular lasts for hours.

Alternatively, the drunkenness penalty should last as long as the benefit: If you drink to get False Life, you should stay drunk for as long as you have the temporary HP.

Also, does being drunk prevent you from concentrating on rage?

Just so you can teabag people with your expansive scrotum?

Also, Sake Affinity needs clearing up for effect duration and actions and the like.

I'd rather we work on the Shinigami before we get into this one since its been around longer. Even though it is about 4 times longer.

I was actually concerned it might not be strong enough. There are a monster classes that get a good string of abilities per level and actual double ability score progression (this one is mostly partial). Some are even Templates instead of a base class, like the Pseudonatural Creature.

Agreed. I took the ability as is in PF.
I saw it but figured that it was probably meant by the PF guys to only be a problem when used during battle and didn't mind if it could benefit from certain effects if it has more than one minute before a battle to prepare for it.

I hope the Just for Laughs are good enough since I didn't give it the clear-cut significant double/triple(or more when abilities are condensed into one)/per monster classes level that those without a caster/manifester/initiator progression usually get.
Especially considering changing into a raccoon and the Least and Lesser SLAs are pretty meh.

This reminds me that perhaps I should put some kind of Tanuki mob ability there for group transformations.
Or perhaps consider making some space some prestige classes and a special Tanuki mob template when enough tanukis group together.

I thought it would get the 1 round/level that comes after concentration, which would be enough but I could specify.

I think its clear enough as for as actions go (swift action to take a swig) and the duration was meant to be as written, using the duration of the spell effect as per the original creature. I could reduce their duration to all match, say, 1 round/CL to make them fit the whole drink-into-battle but I could also do as Leviathan suggested and just increase the drunkness effects to the duration of the spell effect since it has the benefit of possibly making it easier to keep track of the penalties per round. Thanks for the suggestion, by the way.

Pseudonatural creature doesn't get 6+ skill points per level, and none get an alternate form for another net +2 bonus (easily +4 if you dump Str) with extra size bonus on top.

Except that hour per CL means you don't have to prepare, you just have to remember to take a sip at each main meal and it'll last all day long.

Or at least Leviathan's suggestion, make the drunkness penalty last as long as the bonus.

Tiny size is a lot more awesome than people give it credit for.

You did a great job with Just for Laughs, quite some nice variety, and all of them seem pretty useful with utility on top. Long-range versatile natural weapons, moar self-buffs, super thief, or just some plain good old extra feats or bigger numbers.

Well, except Fleet-Footed I guess, that's kinda meh. Probably could scale up to some funky flying or something.

That looks more of a plan for a Tanuki prc yes.

I was starting to wonder if you would ever ask.

Well, truth be told, I still get bloodlust just trying to read that. So I'd rather not. Unless you're prepared for me to be exceptionally vitriolic, at start at least.

Anomander, if you make the Tanuki Mob prestige class, I will love you forever. Like, seriously, please get on that!  :D

A suggestion: perhaps allow "It Tickles" to let the Tanuki levels stack with Rogue levels (or other precision damagers) to determine Sneak Attack dice?

Haha, my apologies. I meant something more along the lines of a Tanuki 4/Rogue 1 having the Sneak Attack dice of a fifth level Rogue, instead of as it is. Sort of like what the Anthropomorphic Animal gets, if it goes in the shrinking direction.

Though I'm fine with it as it is, trust me.

Edit: It would make it a bit more powerful, but perhaps not the best idea if it is already too powerful like Oslecamo is saying.

Personally I think It Tickles! isn't much of an interesting option. It's real purpose is mostly to allow a player that wants a particularly roguish Tanuki character to get into Rogue-oriented prestige classes soon after getting the Tanuki levels. Or for certain builds.
Though it could also be a possible requirement for a Tanuki Tricksterthief PrC.

You raise a good point. And I will not complain at seeing even more Tanuki PrCs. Go where your imagination takes you! I love these little guys.

The Alpha Tanuki looks pretty sweet! Good use of the mob. It encourages you to keep your mob from dispersing, because 24 hours of almost no more abilities is pretty crappy, which is a good thing. You shouldn't be rewarded for using your Tanuki buddies in an expendable fashion.

One thing I should suggest is that you make it clear that Master of Mischief abilities are obtained in the text, as you have done with Just For Laughs. Other than that I have not much to say. Well done!

...Master Thief next?  :)

Thought I had put that one down. Fixed.

Now I really should try to think of some Master of Mischief abilities. Maybe I'll use a pattern similar to other monster classes using that kind of multi-option ability.

Hm. I don't think so. If I make more I'll probably focus on the Tanuki specialized in certain folklore powers.
I recall some doing possession (could be a Master of Mischief power) so I could make one getting particularly good at that. One particularly good at transformation and maybe get on the thief then. Definitely working on the Master of Mischief abilities first so there is at least some variety when you get more of those in the PrCs.

It does get an alternate form that is much better. And its a template. The raccoon form is is pretty meh despite the ability score adjustments of the original monster. If the adjustment is somehow too good for the raccoon form I don't mind scratching it off.
Being tiny is nice but it goes with being a raccoon, meaning you can't really hold items, or speak or do anything you could normally do with an humanoid body.
Scratch the extra ability scores for raccoon form and it should be allright.

Alpha Tanuki

Looks pretty awesome, don't really see anything I dislike! :D
My only critiques would be that some details have to be clarified:
-Can you call the mob if you're able to speak but otherwise immobilized?
-What are the base stats being used to create the basic tanuki slaves minions friends? I suppose nonelite array, altough you never specify it.
-Just to be in the safe side, a clause that the tanuki emergency food organ donors friends cannot take feats that would give them minions of their own.

Done. I only even put it there to begin with only because the Racoon-transformation of the original creature did.

Yep. I'll specify that you have to be able to speak to call them. Or gesticulate wildly for them to come over, but there is 50% chance that they don't come as they are wondering what you're actually trying to say or just pretending they don't get it as an excuse to slack off. Because it amuses me.

I put some pre-made Tanuki Mob statblocks of each size to give an idea of how it goes but, yeah, nonelite array.
Quote

Most certainly.
I was struggling with the idea that Coon Elder could potentially make it possible to make the mobs get more Tanuki levels in a Tanuki prestige class (other than Alpha Tanuki) from then on when it gets additional levels. Perhaps only getting levels in a Tanuki PrC that the Alpha Tanuki has taken as well, up to its own level in them.
ie:
  • Tanuki 4/Alpha Tanuki 6/ Tanuki Warrior (tentative titles) 4 : would have a Tanuki Mob/Unit composed of (Tanuki 4/Tanuki Warrior 4) friends.
  • Tanuki 4/Alpha Tanuki 6/ Tanuki Warrior 2/ Tanuki Trickster 3 : would have a Tanuki Mob/Unit composed of (Tanuki 4/Tanuki Warrior 2/Tanuki Trickster 3) friends.

Well, I would say it's better for you to first design those other prcs, and only after that to get to work on integrating them back in the Alpha Tanuki.
