Are HD considered a class feature?  Cast Bestow Curse and turn your foe into 0 HD.

Or is BAB a class feature?  Talk about ruining the BSF's day when they are suddenly +0 BAB.

No. But you can remove Weapon and Armor Proficiency or Bonus Feats, if you really hate this fighter.

It's a pity a Paladin's code of conduct isn't a class feature, that would be amusing.

Actually, CoC is a paladin class feature, as all sections listed under the Class Features segment are... class features (including spellcasting; that'd be a nasty improved curse). However, the Ex-Paladins section, after the Class Features section, re-spells it out, and shows that any paladin who does bad stuff loses his powers.

Now whether or not the Ex-Paladins section overrides the loss of the CoC is another matter, as it references the CoC as well...

Apathy is ...ah screw it.

I don't believe i've ever played a game where the DM used the rules on community size to ascribe maximum value of items that can be found & bought within the city.
Uh... isn't that supposed to keep the power of the players in check for certain levels?

At best, it's highly imperfect and kind of random.  You could be a 1st level adventurer in Waterdeep (huge city) or a 10th level adventurer out in Icewind Dale (small settlements).

My thoughts exactly. Its completely arbitrary & random. I see it more as a guideline type thing as opposed to a hard rule.

I don't believe its a balance of power type thing, i believe its more of an immersion/realism(quote unquote) type thing. Like, you can't buy a Vorpal Sword in a settlement of 200 people, but you might find it in Waterdeep or Sigil. So, you want a Vorpal Sword? Time to hit the road and get to that big hub of magical might, because you're not going to find it anywhere else.

Problem is, because its so arbitrary and random, it really stifles the creative juices of the GM. Which is exactly why i don't see anyone using it. Every GM i've ever seen just uses his own game sense and feel. Some GM's like high-magic high-power games, and some don't, and they'll adjust as they feel like it.

Fist of the Forest minus Primal Living.
Or a druid without the druid-specific Weapon and Armor Proficiency, which includes their special interaction with metal armor: pick up armor proficiency elsewhere and play a heavy metal bear. I'm sure we can find more!

I usually just pick some sort of exotic armour material,
As far as I recall Glassteel (actually a type of glass, not metal), Dragonhide, special wood and some kinds of stone can be used to make druid armor.

That or there are some deities out there that allow druids to wear metal armour. Mielikki springs to mind.

I have always wanted to make a character who uses a riot shield (Glassteel Tower Shield).

Mielikki only allows light armour. Still interesting, thank you.

There's at least one way to make pretty much any armor Light:  The halfweight enhancement in Forgotten Realms: Underdark page 70.

Thank you, very interesting. Expensive, though.

Nunku just iinked on the 5e board,
the old wotc 3.5e Master Template list.
Reminded me of Symbiotic, and Googled.
http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/1115871

Wheels turn for a moment and idea!

Symbiotic with your Familiar and go Supernount.
Instead of "You having a Supermount",
now it's:  "You ARE the Supermount".
Minor limit via having the Familiar get all of the
Animal Companion + Paladin Mount stuff.

Think of Ratatouille in the chef's hat, controling the kid.
Or PLZ's older build version.

In a game with psionic/magic transparency, wouldn't the feat Power Grace (bottom of the article) give you a +1 to save against all spells and SLAs also?

Yes, but why would you want to spend a feat on this?

Dragon 330, page 87.
Weresheep flaw for commoners is quite hilarious and I'm tempted to try and make a tank build out of it. Assume hybrid form and make all monsters attack you, not the party.

There were a few feats specific to Town size.
I did some work on Towns + Magic Marts.
But yeah, not a whole lot of there  there.

Probably needs a ratio of Goodies available
to Goons keeping an eye on the Party.
Call it a:  Goodies to Goons ratio.

So, I was just checking the OA update for something... and apparently they updated the Eunuch Warlock to a 9/10 casting class.

Why was I not informed of this?

EDIT: Some of the Ancestor feats are pretty nice, too.

Cool Head: Not only does it downgrade any fear effect people try to use on you by a step, but you get a second save against any effect that would compel you to take a violent action.
Great Diplomat: +2 Dexterity, a Cohort at 6th level, and a +2 bonus to your Leadership score.
Kami's Intuition: +2 to Sense Motive, use any Knowledge skill untrained, and you can use your Wisdom in place of Intelligence for Knowledge checks. Hey, why should Dwarves get all the fun?
Luck of Heroes: +1 Luck bonus to all saves and a +1 Luck bonus to AC. That's not bad if you just need the numbers bump.
Saddleback: Hey, ever wanted the ability to always take 10 on Ride checks and the ability to use Mounted Combat against effects that force a Reflex save? Then this feat is for you!
Silver Tongue: Everyone already knows about this one; this is the one that boosts the flexibility of Diplomacy immensely.
Spellcaster Support: It's Aid Another! Except it gives a +1 bonus to CL instead of a bonus to a roll, and prevents people you threaten from making attacks of opportunity due to that spell being cast. I will find a way to optimize this feat to a crazy degree, just you wait.
Strength of the Charger: Add your supermount's Con modifier to your Fortitude saves and get bonus HP equal to its Con modifier. Depending on the mount...
Tireless: One of the few ways to go NOPE to Fatigue. Exhaustion is for tools.
Warrior Shugenja: If you fail the check to cast Defensively, you can choose to not cast the spell in the first place. You lose the action, but not the spell. I can see this being useful for Duskblades, especially.

So... yeah. Spellcaster Support is nasty.

Tireless for a Divine Mind, well what do you know?

Maybe the problem with O.A. is it's pre-C.O. pinnacle.
So it hasn't been adequately chewed on / over / under.

iirc - Humans have to take their Clan's ancestor feat.
And Samurais have to take the Clan's feat tree.  Ewwww.
:flirt is my clan's "secret" Monk weapon.
