Ugh, i keep putting off working on my final course thesis. It's going, but it's going slow, and it CAN'T GO SLOW.

I have to finish it. I have to finish it fast. Goddamit... I want to do anything, anything but do it now. My mind is going places and i can't focus. Shit.

So I played Munchkin for the first time in years.  First draw: get some armor that's a +2.  That's the only item I had, really, but okay.  The other stuff wasn't useful, so, eh.  Fast forward to turn end-2, I get a mount (chicken....yeah....) because someone gave it to me for nothing because they felt bad for me.  Everyone else (5 others) is level 9.  I'm level 5.  My total attack level was 9.  That was enough to TIE the lowest level monster I had seen the entire game (and the highest attack level I had the entire game), which happened to be one of the initial draws.  I played that monster to attack and invited an elf to help me so the game ended.

I'm not especially worried about anything, I'm not in a stressful situation, I'm not normally afraid of sleep...

Sounds like an anxiety attack.  I can't help you pinpoint the source, but I can suggest you relaxing and finding your zen.  Don't worry about the sleep right now, go do whatever is best.  For me, that's usually distractions, playing video games, etc.

That's happens to me, sort of. I don't dread sleep, per se. It's the laying down in bed, in the dark, with nothing but my own circular thoughts that I don't want to do.

To be honest, depending on what I've got ahead of me the next day, I either just stay up with distractions until falling asleep is easy or else I self medicate with something to make me drowsy (it used to be Ambien, but a bit of melatonin or benadryl does the job just as well, with far less sleep-walking).

It's probate court so a relative must have passed.  Got a notice of it, a list of heirs (of which i am one), and a list of defendants (of which i am not), but nothing else info wise.

I never have this problem. I get little enough sleep as it is that I'm almost always out as soon as my head hits the pillow.

Someone homebrewed a Kai Lord class.

They botched it. Badly.

They translated the powers poorly, added some extra powers "to round out the numbers" that don't fit the flavor at all, kept the aspect of the scaling that didn't fit D&D but got rid of the scaling that could have actually been pretty great, they stopped before the higher-level disciplines, they didn't reference any actual psionic powers (despite the fact that the Kai are Aragon-as-a-Jedi)...

It galls me. I've done some work towards making a representative Kai Lord class (it's kinda hard, actually; balance wise, you've got to have animal control on the same level as telekinesis)... and seeing it done poorly offends me.
