To all Heroes,

This one may be an odd request but i hope you enjoy making this or providing feedback...

DMs rules

< Any Class from Any pathfinder book > up to level 5, then add any Template(s) from Monster Manual 1 up to Level 5

This should make a character Level 10. There are 3 people total including myself. The reborn Dragon with like a 54 strength, a monk and us or me.

Starting Gold is 49,000 which is typical for 10th level characters

Point Buy is rolled already, my stats are:  18, 17, 16, 15, 12, 12

Any thoughts on what you would consider a low level fun build?

I tried Inquisitor 4/Cleric 1 Domains War(Tactics) with Share the Initiative to share a +23 initiative

Again any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks in advance...Michael

Tell me if this helps or works, please...

Human Artificer       Caster Level is 7

With Starting Gold of 49,000

Traits

Hedge Magician: You apprenticed for a time to an artisan who often built magic items, and he taught you many handy shortcuts and cost-saving techniques. Whenever you craft a magic item, you reduce the required gp cost to make the item by 5%.

Magical Lineage: One of your parents was a gifted spellcaster who not only used metamagic often, but also developed many magical items and perhaps even a new spell or two—and you have inherited a fragment of this greatness. Pick one spell when you choose this trait. When you apply metamagic feats to this spell that add at least 1 level to the spell, treat its actual level as 1 lower for determining the spell's final adjusted level.

Artificer 1       Elbow grease, jack of all trades, weird science              take 2 bonus feats here
Artificer 2       Item creation, scribe scroll
Artificer 3       Brew potion, bonus feat ( Maximize Spell ),                    Take Craft Wand Feat
Artificer 4       Craft wondrous Item
Artificer 5       Craft magic arms and armor, salvage,                            Take Forge Ring Feat

Monster Manual 1 Templates

Add Incarnate Construct to reduce Level Adjustment by 2 allowing for a + 7 Level Adjustment
Add New Construct Body to the Inside of a Colossal Golem

Fund Project thru unlimited money via reduction from Hedge magician and 50% savings from buying materials selling at full cost repeated as need?

Then having literally 1,000,000 gold to buy the best equipment for myself and giving the other players 1,000,000 gold each or whatever + 6 items and a + 10 weapon would cost for each part of their body?

The math on this is kinda up there hence why i am posting here for instructions....

thoguhts?

Breaking Pathfinder...Bad(ly)

Any 5th level Character from Pathfinder

then add any template from Monster Manual 1 from 3.5 as long as its under a LA of +5

this should equal a 10th Level Character with 49K starting gold

============

what are ways to exploit existing pathfinder characters? any broken ones that could use an awesome template? maybe a funny one?

what about party buffing? any chances of that from say a pathfinder character?

what about savage species? can those templates be used on an existing pathfinder character? maybe anthropomorphic?

what about casting REINCARNATE ( 40 Times ) into a Bug Bear .... doing math....thats + 160 STR, + 80 DEX, + 80 CON

=====================

when asked to basically break the game we are making characters for, i can not in good faith say no... ")

Frankly, if you can't do something crazy with a Ghostly Sorcerer, then you aren't trying hard enough. (+4 to charisma, including the +2 you'd get from any good racial choice, means that you can have a charisma of 25 at level 5 before adding any magical items or tomes.

Select force spells and abjurations, mostly. You may have trouble with getting your spells to affect ethereal targets though. That being said, any effect that allows material creatures to affect ethereal ones allow ethereal creatures to affect material ones.

It might be better to go with a summoner, as you should be able to have a physical eidolon. You may need some DM cooperation ahead of time, to check what would work or what wouldn't.

Frankly no i can not do anything with what you suggested for the following reasons...

This was supposed to be my first game and i was to play a cleric, but the game was canceled, a new DM was selected and she chose for us to roll new characters for next tuesday to play. today is wednesday. so i have 6 days to make an awesome character with source material from pathfinder i am unable to understand, but i got a decent grasp of 3.5 having played and DM'ed 3.5 and 4th edition.

so what kinda sorcerer full stat-ed out would you recommend?

so what kinda summoner would you recommend?

your talking about ethereal weapons which was just posted under Fun Finds v6.0

so if it pleases you can you please provide a l ittle more detail in your assessment for not just I but for others viewing or reading or for those in the distant future who might stumble upon this?

thanks again for your help,

Michael

Inquisitor is wrongbadfun.

You want to play a good cleric. Take the animal domain for a mount.

Feats: Zen Archery (Complete Warrior) or Dead Eye (Dragon Compendium), Deadly Aim, work your way up to Multishot (PF version).

Race: Samsaran.
Mystic Past life gives you spells added to your list. From PF alone you want Litany of Righteousness (x2 damage for a turn), Saddle Surge (+1 damage per 5 feet your mount moves, max at CL), Greater Named Bullet (various effects, touch attacks, x2 CL to damage versus a certain type), Abundant Ammunition (maintains Named Bullet). Add on your usual buffs and maybe persistomancy.

Archivist could do the same, with some help from 3.5 Divine Power.

Bows? A Splitting or Energy Bow, with a wand Chamber to hold a Wand of Litany of Righteousness.

Summoner is easy. Pretty much focus summoning feats (augment summoning, etc) or build a strong eidolon (extra evolution). I'd suggest giving it pounce. Mysterious Stranger1/Synthesist is also very strong.

Breaking Pathfinder...Bad(ly)

So using your cleric approach

Goliath?

Composite Greatbow ( Large ) = 2d8

200 Bow + ( 6 x 200 = 1200 ) = 1400 Bow

Enlarge Person + Permanency ... cast by friendly town magic user...cost is free for us and 500 xp for them

2d8 becomes 3d8

At Level 3 you sell back your 3d8 Bow and with Powerful Build, Monkey Grip, Enlarged Person you get a Gargantuan Bow dealing 4d8

then you add Seeking and Splitting as well as Strength Bonus for around 32,000 gold

Str      18  + 4  = 22 ( +6 )
Dex    17 - 2    = 15
Con    16 + 2   = 18
Int      12         = 12
Wis     15        = 15
Cha    12       = 12

So using your example, your saying create a 5th Level Cleric with a Bow that can deal up to 4d8 Damage then add Whatever templates that can break pathfinder even more badly so ands thats roughly your build in a nutshell?

Using a business approach here, i am simply looking at the bottom numbers, and seeing your damage is around 4d8 per hit which is nice, but since we are attacking 10th level characters i am trying to also make sure this is more then sufficient

i also apologize if i mis-understood your approach but would welcome any clarity you wish to share

i also ask for the same for others posters to see what kinda damage a 5th level character can either before or after templates are added

thanks for your awesomeness,

Michael

LA + 1                       Level 1 Feats
Cleric 1   + 0
Cleric 2   + 1            Level 3 Feats           Monkey Grip
Cleric 3   + 2
Cleric 4   + 3            Level 5 Feats

1) Get on a horse.
2) Cast Saddle Surge.
3) Cast Abundant Ammunition.
4) Cast Named Bullet (Third level spell as a ranger, which you can poach with Samsaran's Mystic Past Life). This adds +5 to damage, lets you touch AC, and threaten a crit (you crit for x3 with a bow). The arrow's buff will never be expended in 1 shot thanks to Abundant Ammunition. The bonus lasts 10 minutes per level, and your whole quiver is affected.
5) Move 25 feet with your mount. This adds +5 morale to damage from saddle surge.
5) Cast Litany of Righteousness on your enemy. The enemy will take double damage from you.

That's 30 damage before your damage roll if you confirm your crit. It takes a little bit to set up, so I suggest getting a custom item of Abundant Ammunition (2000 GP).

To increase damage, improve your STR get Energy Bow. A +1 Energy Bow (16.6 kgp) gives power shot (-atk for +damage), and adds your STR to the damage. A +1 Splitting Energy Bow is 46.6 kgp.

Additionally, grabbing a wand of Litany of Righteousness (4.5kgp) and a Glove of the Master Strategist or Storing would let you take it out as a free action to cast it before a full attack.

Wayung Spellhunter + Magical Lineage will let you cast the Litany as a Orison if you add a +0 Metamagic to it, assuming your DM is ignorant of the FAQ ruling.

found this....

Phylactery of the Failed

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/artifacts/minor-artifacts/phylactery-of-the-failed

" The creature that opens a phylactery of the failed must immediately succeed at a DC 30 Will saving throw or be affected by a disease-like curse known as a parasitic soul (detailed below). Those affected by a parasitic soul have their own personality and sanity overwhelmed by the remnant ambitions and memories of the would-be lich whose destruction created the phylactery. If the cursed creature is killed by the parasitic soul, her body is animated 1 day later as a lich with the same memories and abilities of the magic-user who created the phylactery, essentially allowing that spellcaster to finally achieve lichdom. The cursed creature cannot be returned to life until the lich is destroyed. "

So basically a Level 22 Wizard gets bored one day and decides to start over again. They make the Phylactery. Cast wish, and ask to start over.

A level 1 fighter finds the book, or it finds them, they open it, fail the impossible save, wait 1 day....then

you take a 22nd Level Wizard, add the Lich Template from Pathfinder, then you add a second template from Monster Manual 1, i was thinking Celestial because of the pun....wait for laughs.....ok share the joke.... Celestial Lich Wizard.....or CLW...waits for clerics to snicker....nothing....anyways then you have 62,000 starting gold cause Pathfinder gold per level is HIGHER than DnD and of course.....

its not unlikely that a 22nd Level Wizard, which i have to design, would not already have access to the best stuff in the game or have access to them because they retain their memories....

so make a broken 22nd level wizard or higher, it does not matter really then add the templates, then watch the DM go....ummmmm ummm ummmm

thats the best answer i have found so far, it seems unlikely that anything could beat this, but logically anyone could make this Phylactery meaning any creature could come back to life so to speak...all from a simple oops did i just open that?

-thoughts?

-Michael

It's great if your DM lets you start with an artifact.
