Important Note: Pathfinder rewards people for taking favored classes rather than punishing them with experience penalties.

If you take 1 level in a favored class (including 1st level), you gain your choice of 1 additional hit point or skill point.

One more thing.  Due to the "fantasy superhero" aspect of the campaign, it's expected that your PC will be the type of person to want to save others if they can.  Even a selfish PC might get led along by the others to "do the right thing."

Anyway, you know how some sentai team/magical girl/etc have transformation sequences from civilian to new identity?  Start thinking of something cool for your PC to represent this.

Yup.

So the subject was broached over in the Roll20 forum, but do you folks still want to go forward with microphones, or all-text for a change?  We can always switch back in the middle of the session.

We should at least try out all-text. On my part, this means not having to boot into an all-separate system, and BGM. :lmao

I'm interested (and expect to be available Sundays), but I have questions and comments.

1: I'm in Eastern Time in Florida near Orlando.  (The soonest I could join is likely next week, August 24, 2014.)
2: Though this is Pathfinder, what 3.5 are we importing?  I've had a hankering to play a build in the spoiler below.
3: How long is this campaign expected to last, level- and week-wise?
4: Though this is considered an 'epic power' Pathfinder game, how powerful are we allowed to be?  I figure loops are banned, but what else is explicitly out?
5: How many similarities should I expect to the Harry Potter series?

No. No joining and making the rest of the party effectively obsolete.

Besides which, I think a fifth person would be kind of hard to work in?

I agree on the 'let's all work together and be useful' part.  (I considered making a Dragonwrought Kobold with all the trimmings named 'Candle' but decided against it.  Trying to play that character in this campaign would probably end with the line 'You no take Candle?!')  Having so many arcane casters in the same party (with 2, at present, seeming to be primary arcane casters with one secondary) means I don't need to be as individually powerful, nor is going Sorcerer such a risk.

Considering the campaign allowances, I'm drawn to the being a Silverbrow Human Arcane Bloodline Sorcerer with the Neonate Vampire and Noble Scion (Scion of War) feats, and later the Racial Heritage: Half-Elf feat.  (This is my modified 'Every Race Sorcerer' theme, going for CHA-to-everything-viable as a full caster in Pathfinder.)

Since this is a semi-superhero themed (and somewhat light-hearted) campaign, I considered dressing him like an albino Tuxedo Mask.

Beyond that, I need further information (especially whether I'm allowed to join this game and what character mechanics and concepts are OK) before proceeding.

Apologies Endarire, but after my 2nd game I found that handling 4 PCs is a handful for me.  I don't think I'm going to recruit any more players.

OK.  Thanks for letting me know.

I'm curious:  What is it about having 4 characters (who all seem currently to be full casters) that makes things such a "handful?"

Making sure that people get enough spotlight time for character themes, coordinating stuff between players for future games, and combat.

It's been quite a wild ride, these past 8 months.  Apologies for not upkeeping the campaign journal in like...forever, but simply preparing for the sessions was tough enough.

The decision to end was pre-determined.  Like any good story, it was brought to a conclusion instead of stretching out forever.  For now our group's going to try out other games and campaigns, but it's possible that some day we might revisit the world of Arcana High...
