Ah, did you already fill up on players while I wasn't looking? Shoot. I was hoping you could send me the link also.  :bigeyes

No, I'm just giving the other players a chance to respond.  Since you're friends with Syrasi and have played before, I'll send you a link.

So here's the dealio.  Streamofthesky and scottbert haven't responded yet.  It's only been a day or two, so I'll give them a few days.

Unbeliever expressed interest over on Roll20, but he has some personal stuff to take care of which will take a few days.

Anyway, as scores can be saved, it's possible to have separate pseudo-sessions where people spend time making characters.  Raineh's doing it right now on Roll20.

Awww thanks~!  :D I misread I guess. But yeah, I'm familiar with 3.5 but I haven't played pathfinder before. From what I'm seeing it seems a LOT more simple and streamlined in certain aspects.

It is, although streamofthesky will be more than happy to tell you where it failed.  He has a sore spot regarding some of the game designer's choices, to put it lightly.

Anyway, one slot left open.

We can still go ahead with the game as is.  I'll give the rest of the folks several days to respond or still tell me if they have an interest in the game.

I'll drop out for someone who's more enthusiastic about the game.  Was mostly just interested b/c it's someone from this board running a (non-PbP) game.  I'll continue to look for a game where I can play a martial and be competent.

Thank you for the heads-up.  I hope that you find the game you want.  Who knows, I might even run it sometime in the future. ;)

I'm interested, although I still can't do Sundays, so if that's what everyone wants I'll have to drop out -- sounds like everyone can do Saturday too, though.

I had a long day today and didn't have time to think about a character yet. I'm starting to get a vague idea, but I'll need to see if it comes together tomorrow or something. Also, I've never played in a low-combat PF game before -- I admit that I am someone who enjoys mastering the system and tactically winning battles, although I also enjoy RP.

What's everyone else playing, do we know yet? I tend towards int-based arcane casters or gish myself. Definitely like that whole 'knowledge is power' shtick rather than suddenly gaining powers like a superhero. Although, for a setting like this, the idea of a sorcerer or witch intensely interested in understanding how his powers work might work too...

I was just leaning towards Sundays due to being best for Ketaro when he's not DMing and XenoLord as well.  I'll ask them later on.

Anyway, Ketaro's playing a Magus archetype with Bard spells, Syrasi's an Illusionist Wizard, Raineh Daze is a Summoner, and XenoLord06 is a Sorcerer.

You don't have to be an arcane caster.  I guess it just fits with the magic school theme.

Anyway, the time I plan on starting the game around 3-4 pm East Coast US time whether we do it this Saturday or Sunday.  I tend to some errands on the weekends around the lunch hours, thus the reason.

I was planning on making the first gaming session last for 4 hours at most.  We can stop earlier if you guys want.  But 4 hours is my limit.

Edit: It looks like Sunday's on the menu, folks.  Sorry about that, Scottbert.

I decided that we can start with just 4 folks.

That, and I'm waiting on Unbeliever's reply once he's finished with his stuff in a few days.  If he can't, then we can see about your buddy for next week's game.  I just want to give Unbeliever a shot.

Anyway, the game's going to be this Sunday at 4 PM US Eastern Time.  If my time zones are correct, that's 9 PM for Raineh Daze, 1 PM for Ketaro, and 3 PM for LordXeno06.

Hey folks, I'm having problems enabling the video/voice chat:

https://wiki.roll20.net/Video_and_Voice_Chat

I have Google Chrome.

While using my laptop computer I denied it access to that one in particular because there were other people in the room and Raineh was on there.  Unfortunately I cannot seem to get the camera icon on the computer I plan on using for the actual game.

My microphone works itself, but the Roll20 interface is neither receiving nor broacdacsting sounds to others.

How can I get the camera icon to show up and allow Roll20 access to my computer's microphone?

Edit: Things are working on my laptop with me and Raineh.  So I'll probably use my portable computer for the games.

Will this be recorded or streamed? or may I otherwise spectate the game?

I do not plan on recording or streaming the game.  I'm having enough difficulty making sure that Roll20 itself works right, so stuff like that is not planned.

Plus I don't think that everyone will be comfortable with having their activity broadcast to a wider audience.  I'm not at this point, at least for a first game.

I might start a campaign journal recording the results of the gaming session if there's enough demand.

How can I get the camera icon to show up and allow Roll20 access to my computer's microphone?

There's a my settings tab at the far end of the chat near the top:
Video + Voice:  I want to Broadcast to others: (select video and voice or voice only) I want to Receive from others: (select video and voice or voice only)

Video/Player Avatar Size: Make sure this is set to small, regular, or large, not names only  (if you set it to names only the video won't work and you'll crash on voice alot)

Anyway, if you failed to allow flash to let roll20 use these features you'll need to go into flash settings and reset it.  You do this by going to: http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.html and selecting the tab with the eye and globe.  This is for camera and microphone, set it to always ask.  I have a feeling right now you have it set to always deny.
Also, since this might be weird for some people, that's actually how you adjust the flash plugin, see their note:
Note: The Settings Manager that you see above is not an image; it is the actual Settings Manager. Click the tabs to see different panels, and click the options in the panels to change your Adobe Flash Player settings.

If that's flash, I'm a concrete donkey. It has right click functions, selectable images, and a completely non-flash dialogue box asks your permission.

Tokbox's OpenTok 2.0 uses flash.

From Roll20s own website:
Being a game master is hard enough. Roll20 makes your life as easy as possible by saving you the hassle of installing or configuring. Just load up a web browser on any system (Windows, Mac, or Linux) and you’re ready to get started. For best results use Firefox or Chrome, and be sure to have Flash installed to take advantage of video chat.

It's just as easy to invite players. Send them a quick link and they’re in your game, ready to play. It’s never been easier to get an online group together, so you spend more time playing, and less time swearing at firewalls.

The thing is, in actual use? Nothing about it suggests Flash is involved in any way. I am doubtful. :/

If you have it set to always deny, it will ask you the first time you enter your game if you want to enable video and voice and their sources.  If you deny them that first time, the flash plugin shuts them off until you go to the settings and reset it and then refresh the campaign.  It will then allow you to select them again.  If you originally deny it, the my settings don't work to turn it back on in  most cases because you never actually told it what to use in the first place.  The flash setting reset allows you tell it what to use as its source.  Anyway, this is what worked for me after about 10 minutes of searching.  Of course that was over a year ago, so things might have changed.

Okay, so LordXeno's recently been having microphone troubles in the last hour.  He can't send or receive audio.

My mic works, Raineh's works, ketaro's works.  So here's the plan:

If everyone can receive audio, then users who want to talk, can talk; users who wish to use the text box can use that.

If Kyle's mic troubles don't let up, then we'll use the text box for communication.

I disabled Flash entirely and it still works. I think they must have updated it to use non-Flash stuff.
