The gnome, looking incensed, says "My friends can drag at least 3." He steps back towards the woods briefly and whistles lowly, and a large dog wearing armor and two deer come over to him.
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

"Let's get to a safe place, then." Eek flaps his leathery wings and takes flight away from the ruins. He circles around the group, above the treeline as they travel, keeping an eye out for any dangers.

The ninja follows closely behind hiding and moving sildntky keeping an eye and ear out for anything.
Stalking my prey, silently I hide. Prey: Why are you whispering to yourself. Me: Crap, I rolled low on my hide and move silent checks. Act normal. Hello citizen :)"Just smile till he leaves"

Trees are few and far between. The Shockrise Fens are a marsh. As such, there are high reeds -- up to 8 feet in most places -- and steam rising off the marsh reduces visibility substantially. Encounters often begin at a range of 90-100 feet, if not less.

Reeds are in every direction. The river is back toward where you encountered the lizardfolk, but the river cuts through the marsh from one side to the other.

The steam makes it virtually impossible to spot dangers from the air using normal vision.

There are no "safe" places, but what you make for yourself. Danger is in every direction.
"Stuck between a rogue and a bard place."
