The creature's multiple eyes lock with Tulugaq's and it's mind fills with ruinous visions of the curse. Shadows envelope the warlock as he moves toward the fray casting his spell. The creature makes a series of ruinous growls as it fights off the effects of the vestige scouring its mind.

Theo's hands crackle with electricity as the Halfling sends a burst of lightning at his foes. The blots sears through the webbing but flies just to the right of his intended target and slams into the stairwell behind blowing a large chunk out of the stone.

The spear wielding creature works its spinnerets in a flurry, creating a huge amount of the sticky thread as is murmurs to itself in it's clicking tones. Then it tosses forth the ball of webbing which explodes into a sticky mess near Dunor showering him, Tulugaq, and Tanthalus.

Continuing to spin webs rapidly, the beast sends another net of webbing, smaller this time, at Shandien, binding him fast. Clicking its mandibles it slides up behind Galadren

Galadren grunts as he tries to slide another bolt into his crossbow, cut his way free of the latest batch of webbing spewed forth by these damn things, and keep from getting eaten.  It was all rather exhausting, and Galadren found himself with time for little else except to catch his breath.

Tanthalus struggles against the webbing, unfortunately being stuck in a corner means he is too far away from the creatures to attack them.

Light shines down from the ceiling burning the chitinous spear wielder while also enveloping Dunor bolstering the large human.

One of the axe wielding spiderlike creatures tries to bring it's mandibles to bare on Galadren while pressing it's advantage with the other creature opposite of the elf.


The other axe wielder tries to sink its mandibles into Shandien while the genasi is fully stuck in the webbing, biting the swordmage. He feels the poison course through him but forces himself to continue to struggle

With Tanthalus's inspiration, Dunor manages to snap the threads of sticky web, trudging through the mess toward the wounded creature.

"Happy to oblige, Galadren."

He slashes at the creature, hoping to find an exposed crack in its chitinous hide to exploit.

Dunor's sword leaves a gaping wound in the chitinous creature.

Shandien reaches into his elemental nature to bolster himself with the power of the storm. His body crackles with electricity as his swings his charges blade at the creature in front of him. A clap of thunder issues forth as the blow lands. Then calling upon a spell the swordmage suddenly teleports back leaving in his wake a burst of thunderous sound that shakes the room and rocks his surrounding enemies

Galadren can feel the rage building as he looks at the spidermen swarming around him, trying to inflict on him the same fate as Kartanis.
As the one lunges at him with its fangs outstretched, Galadren throws the shaft of his crossbow up into its way.
The beast's fangs scrape against the wood of the crossbow, inches from his fingers, before the elf manages to shove the beast back.
Whirling, he gives the spiderman behind him a taste of the crossbow's butt, knocking it back into the path of Dunor's blade and Tulugaq's magic.
As the beast finally falls Galadren turns back to the remaining two spidermen, glowering at them.

"Get away from me . . . .GET AWAY FROM ME!"

Galadren shrieks, unleashing a burst of power that sends a wall of wind pulsing out from him, joining Thespias's gust to tear the two spidermen free of their anchors and send them stumbling back next to the stairs.  While the two creatures are off-balance, Galadren advances rather than retreats, moving to a clear space of the webs to snap off another shot from his crossbow.  As it comes near the creature, the bolt splits apart into another swarm of biting insects.

Silten makes a concerted effort to free himself from the webbing.  Even with that, his regained freedom is somewhat surprising and so he lurches forward and stumbles closer to his foes, happy that at least now he can be useful again.

Both spider creatures move slowly shambling under the slowing effects of the biting swarm to flank their tormentor, clicking out that elf flesh is tenderest for their own broods to be implanted. One brings its mandibles to bear to bite at the elf sinking into his flesh, the warm poison burns like fire into the archer's bloodstream.

"Face me!" Shandien growls like thunder and he advances back towards one of the creature. Runes flash around the spiderlike being before the swordmage attacks.

Desperately trying to reload his crossbow, Galadren is forced to abandon that plan in favor of wildly swiping at the two spider-freaks with the butt of his weapon as they rush towards him in a pincer formation.

They are slowed by the magic he had summoned and the biting insects swarming around them, but the vile beasts are clearly determined as one pounces on him from behind, holding him still while the one jams its fangs into his shoulder through his armor.

Despite the liquid pain rushing through him, Galadren manages a grimace of pain as he throws his head back into the face of the one grabbing him, keeping it from joining its friend in sinking its own fangs into his flesh.

"Welcome to my trap, said the elf to the spider . . . man . . . thing!"

Galadren grunted, as he looked past the spiderman to see his allies closing in to help.
