Dunor moves swiftly to the other side of the room, nimbly avoiding the sticky webs, where he attempts to trap the spider-like creature in the corner. He sweeps wide, though the creature is quick!

Deciding discretion was needed but unwilling to retreat completely, Galadren tumbles out from between the two spidermen to between his two allies.
After he slides another bolt into place and works the levers to draw the bowstring back, Galadren whirls and fires, leaping backwards out of reach of the spidermen as he does so.
The sudden movement jars his shoulder, prompting a wince as Galadren reaches a hand up to the burning wound.
As his touch, a small jolt of fiery magic leaps into the wound, beginning to burn the poison out of his system - whether it would be able to cleanse the poison in time, however, remained to be seen.

The burning magic lands near the creature but does no more that scorch a few spiderwebs.

Clicking it's mandibles to communicate with it's companion the first of the chitinous creatures climbs across the hanging webs, circling around Shandien working it's spinnerets to entangle him while the other climbs up to the ceiling and drops down on a thread in front of the Genasi bringing it's fangs to bear on it's stuck foe. Rolling thunder still shakes this creatures chitinous plates. The fangs are stop just short of it's victims neck by glowing runes of the swordmage's protective spells.

The chitin plate cracks under the blow and the spiderthing hisses curses at Dunor as ichor leaks out on the blade and over the man's hands.

The Genasi Swordmage goes into a spinning flourish, trailing his longsword, it's blade now glowing red leaving red runes rippling in it's wake. Most of the runes dissipate except for a few that hove above each chitinous creatures head burning into their minds.

Galadren is a difficult patient, restlessly shifting his weight while Tanthalus treated his poisoned bite, until finally the elf is satisfied and pulls away.

"Did you hear what Kartanis said?  His son is down here."

Galadren growls, looking at the tattered husk that was all that was left of his (apparent) old friend.  His frustration at his lack of memory only doubles the anger in his voice as he adds.

"We need to find the boy.  Now."

(Looking at the map, it appears that we have two ways to go - up the stairs to the west and . . . is that a hallway or a set of stairs leading down to the next level to the south?)

Shandien says as he slowly weaves his way through the webbing to the corner, and finding the intended bag, makes his way back to the group. "Well now, isn't that interesting" he says after peering into the small sack and holding it out for all to view inside.

The open pouch reflects back the light of the sunrods in silvery brilliance as it holds a fine silvery powder at its bottom, "That's residium unless I am mistaken. There also is a small chain and symbol in it." he says pulling forth the item, careful to shake the dust of back into the pouch. On the end of a golden chain, is a golden sun blazing.
