The errant lightning slams into the throne behind the skeleton leaving a mark in the gold, revealing it to only be gilt instead of solid.

Sweeping his blade in a large arc, sigils along the blade flare and Shandien spins with it as a wave of force reaches out toward his surrounding enemies.

As the rage builds up from his gut, Dunor spits out, "Creature, you and your kin have caused enough strife. I'll see to it that you and the bloody goblins who've taken league with you are all struck down! One by one, if I've got to, until none are left!"

Dunor follows up Shandien's assault with one of his own. In Dunor's mind, he faintly sees Dalanath striking the Skeleton in a vulnerable spot concurrently with his own strike; in reality, however, it is only Dunor's blade which strikes that spot.

Beneath the eyepatch, his scarred eye tingles. The faintest blue-white glow emanates from behind the ragged patch of leather.

As the blade strikes the skeleton one of the shards attached to it's left arm erupts and necromantic energy roils outward in waves. Thurnan appears to diminish as is now pale as a corpse.

Galadren's elation at the spellcaster's return to death quickly turned to horror as Thurnan and Dunor were both nearly blasted into undead themselves by the skeleton's necrotic energy.  As the situation began to descend into complete chaos, Galadren forced aside his own fear and started shouting orders.  He wasn't sure anyone would follow them - he wasn't their leader - but someone had to try to organize their efforts before tragedy struck.

"Dunor!  Fall back!  Shandien!  Lure the big guy away into a corner away from everyone else!  Tanthalus!  If you've got any healing left, use it on the boy!  Tulugaq and Thespias!  Clear out the little guys so Dunor has a clear path to get away!  I'm going to try to get the boy out!"

It was difficult to concentrate on his chosen task with a skeleton next to him doing its best to kill him - Galadren just had to try his best to stay out of the thing's reach as he stowed his bow, dug around in his pack for the length of rope that he kept there, and start tying it into a noose as quickly as he could.  If the magic surrounding Thurnan wasn't a solid barrier, he ought to be able to lasso the boy, and pull him out?

Galadren makes a quick and loosely tied lasso under the duress of the skeletal attack.

The bleached skeleton knocks Shandien's blade away with its scimitar while thrusting low with its shard covered left. Runes flare and the shard is stopped short by the swordmage's protective magic around himself.


The two other skeletons press the swordmage as well. The Genasi fends off the firsts sword then spins to intercept the seconds thrust.


Pressing Galadren and his rope tying skills, a skeletons blade causes the elf to keep on his toes while working with the knot.

Reforming after being cut down by Tukugaq's sickle, the two skeletons work seemingly in unison to attack the warlock.

Tanthalus struggles to pour positive energy toward the ritual, until Jalissa appears next to him and doing the same helps the cleric drive away the dark energy. Some more light returns to the room from the sun rods as the two work to combat the rituals effects.

Tulugaq whispers a curse as he meets the skeletal gaze with his own. Then pouring more positive energy toward the ritual circle, the warlock also helps counter the dark magic surrounding the boy while cautiously stepping tot he side.

Lightning blasts past the skeletons heads and slams into the opposite wall of the Sorcerer.

Shandien takes a deep breath, knowing he needs to move the scimitar wielding skeleton away before another blast ends the boy's life. Weaving magic as he moves the circling runes surrounding the previous skeleton disappear and now float around the head of the bleached skeleton. Crossing the room much more desperately, he takes several hits from the skeletons for his recklessness.

Galadren winces as Shandien takes several hits from the skeletons - this was going to be close.

"Dunor!  Back away, let Shandien draw the big one away!"

Galadren growls, following his own advice as he hurriedly backs away from the skeleton, pressing his back against the cold stone wall to the south.  Reaching down with his other hand, he draws his dagger from his boot, and concentrates on it, willing the strange magic he had been wielding unconsciously all day to flow into the blade now.  As the bleached skeleton begins to advance towards Shandien, Galadren pulls his arm back and throws.  He just had to hope it would be enough.

The color begins to fade from Dunor's face and a fresh wound begins trickling blood. He clutches over the wound with one hand, while holding his weapon as steadily as possible with the other. Slowly and cautiously, Dunor crosses the room, pushing off his enemies' advances with a short jab here, a parry there.

As Galadren scampers out of Shandien's way, the nearby skeleton takes a swipe at the elf with its corroded blade, the sword draws a line of blood down the elf.


The skeleton with the bleached white bones brings its scimitar back and charges across the floor toward Shandien. Galadren lets fly with it's dagger as the skeleton passes another. The dagger hits it's mark and a burst of tiny motes of light zip around both the bleached skeleton and the crumbling skeleton. The lights only slightly hinder the skeleton from it's target and it swipes its blade down on Shandien with incredible speed.

The shambling skeleton clatters toward Galadren and brings it's blade down on the elf which he easily avoids to one side.


Following the bleached skeleton, trailing a cloud of bone dust, the crumbling skeleton wades in on Shandien with reckless abandon.


The decrepit skeleton wheels around the magical circle and swipes it's blade at Jalissa, who shrieks and falls away before it can connect.


The decaying skeleton slides toward Thespias and viciously chops down with is longsword.


Stepping up and continuing its attack on Tulugaq, the moldering skeleton swings it's sword back and forth at the warlock.

Tanthalus circles the boy to get everyone he can within the power of his next prayer. "Tulugaq, you must step this way." he calls before concentrating on his holy symbol, a light seems to build around him as if the flames of the sun itself crackle from within.

The sounds of battle clamoring around him, Thespias barely manages to slip away from the skeleton facing him, spinning his momentum around and throw another arcing blast of lightning towards one of skeletons, hoping to reach the Bleached monstrosity as well with the leaping energies.

As Tulugaq slides into range, Tanthalus can no longer contain the divine power he siphoned. In a burst of solar fire that rolls outward from the cleric, he releases the pent up energy and nearly collapses from the effort. As the flames touch each of you your wounds burn and they are cleansed by the holy flame and begin to close, but the light also refreshes the spirit and give you hope.

Tulugaq pours more positive energy toward the circle as he closes with it. Even more light returns to the room as he combats the rituals effects.

More lightning flies wildly from the Halfling but this also misses its mark scorching marks all along the walls.

Thunder builds in a slow rumble and cracks suddenly as Shandien unleashes its power with a strike at the Bleached Skeleton but the skelton adeptly parrys the strike with its weaving scimitar.

Muttering under his breath about the durability of this particularly nasty skeleton, Galadren drops his makeshift lasso and pulls out his crossbow again.
Reloading the weapon, Galadren leans out and snaps a shot off through the intervening skeletons.

With skeletons in all directions and the threat still looming, Dunor decides that he has seen enough death and misery for one week. He brandishes his sword in a defensive posture, ready to protect the defenseless should the tide of battle turn for the worse.
