The demon deftly moves to avoid Dunors best efforts. Everyone is covered by the warm glow and feel bolstered by the divinity of Tanthalus' god.

Shandien continues his thunderous assault on the demon.

(Since Galadran vs. wererat is a bit separated from the rest of the group, I'm just going to post now.)

Reloading the main firing brace of the crossbow, Galadren leaps backward to avoid the wererat's snapping jaws.
He studies the creature a moment, and then remarks.

"Y'know, we killed one of your kind yesterday.  He was an asshole that liked to torment tied-up women.  I wonder what your eulogy will be."

An instant later, Galadren fired his crossbow again, this time aiming for the creature's snapping jaws.

Tulugaq whispers a curse while moving away from the fighting, pointing at the wererat. Then unleashes a dark bolt of arcane power at the demon that consumes its flesh sending it back to the choas from whence it had been pulled.

The newest shot from Galadren sinks into the Wererat. Seeing the end is near for this fight the lycanthrope turns and runs for it to hide and lick its wounds.

Thespias turns on the nearby wererat and conjures a whirlwind behind the creature. The Wererat stands its ground against the buffeting wind.


The wererat faced off against Galadren turns tail and runs for it, claws grabbing the corner as it whips left toward the doors to the south. Throwing them open and continuing on down the hall.

The other wererat, seeing it's companion in full retreat, throws a dagger at the halfling as he also flees. The flying dagger is stopped short in a showering burst of runes and sparks as the sorcerer is protected by Shandien's aegis.

Dunor follows the Wererat, hoping to take it out before it attracted any more interlopers.

He pulls out a sunrod, cracks it, and peeks around the corner, hoping to avoid falling into an ambush.

The searing beam from Tanthalus briefly lights up the rest of the hallway, briefly illuminating the hallway, a door, and the wererat being narrowly missed as the divine lance burns into the doors frame.

Shandien chases after the fleeing wererat. Bursting through the doors and racing down the hall in chase, catching up to the wounded creature and slashes it across its back.

Galadren grunts to himself as he sets off back down the hallway after the wererat at a pace that was decidedly unconcerned.
Reaching the room where this fight had started, Galadren sees Shandien barge through the southern set of doors to chase down his quarry.
Casually sliding a fresh bolt into his weapon, Galadren brings the crossbow up to his shoulder, pauses a second to aim past his friend and through the rapidly closing door, and then fires.

Galadren's shot sinks into the door frame as Tulugaq shoulders through the closing door a whispered curse on his lips. The fleeing lycanthrope looks over its shoulder for a second, which is long enough for the spell to take hold and grabbing its head, drops tot he floor writhing in the unfathomable unto its death.

Sertanian keeps up with the group nursing his broken arm.

Thespias slips past the group, rounding the corner on the retreating lycanthrope, unleashing a furious blast of lightning at the creatures back.


The wererat, jolting from the electricity coursing through its body, throws the latch on the door and moves beyond shouting, "They are here!"

The sun rods light seems to diminish and almost pull away from its source into the room. Mostly dark, you can see a tourch has been dropped on the ground a short way inside. Its illumination is similarly dimmed to almost a candle, even though it fully burns in its resting place. It does allow you to see the back of a shadowy pew and the silhouette of a bulky wererat just beyond. It snarls at you.

The light from Amaunator's lance struggles to even illuminate a portion of the darkness in the room, shivering the thick gloom momentarily and reaching out for the brutish wererat visible by the minimalized torchlight. The sliver of divine light slices past the lycanthrope as it ducks just in time behind a blackened wood pew.

The light appears to be drawn into a pulsing black obelisk glowing with purple runes yet that glow seems to deepen the gloom further rather than provide any real light.

Seeing the wererat he just attacked fall to Tulugaq's spell, Shandien turns on his heels and runs back toward the rest of the group heading the other direction.

Having seen Tulugaq's magic do what his bolt could not, Galadren nods in satisfaction.
Hearing the chase for the other wererat continuing to the north, Galadren slips down the northern hallway.
Leaning around the corner in silence, he sets his sights on the hulking shadow that he can see in the room beyond.
He might not be able to hit anything vital . . . but then again, most creatures tended to need an intact head.
Galadren aimed for the top of the creature's body, a small target to be sure, and fired.
Then he ducked back behind the corner again to avoid any retaliatory strike.

The wererat that had previously escaped moves among the darkness toward Thespias and sinks its teeth into the halfling's shoulder. Most of the force of the blow is absorbed by a runic shield that flares under the attack.
