Just hold them by the fistful

The level 10~12 paladins can destroy anything with 16 effective HD with the noted equipment.

Anyway, the Vampire's Gaseous Form is based on the Spell (ie it's still a creature you can kill) with one noted exception; immunity to damage. Disintegrate's clause (turn to dust) isn't damage, so like a SoD follow up you can still slay the Vampire.

This example just proves my point - if you watch the scene, he used each symbol for a separate turning attempt  :P

Yeah, he dumped both his Wisdom and Charisma and was too cheap to buy masterwork items.

You gotta hand it to his Natural 20 on the Diplomacy roll through.

Post action report: the paladins were highly resistant to all the vampires threw at them, but proved almost incapable of hurting them in return - I underestimated how high a high dex rogue's AC goes once he's vampirised. They ended up killing only three - two of them exorcised by their cleric. More glory to the party

The battle itself saw an experiment from me - using hand-drawn tokens as miniatures. Proved immensly helpful in showing what was going on while I handled the math.

The PC druid completely stole the show, bringing the wrath of all the gods of the Sun down onto the catacombs. The pouncer barbarian with a borrowed mace of disruption took care of the more resilient opponents (save or die at 14 doesn't seem hard, until you have to roll three saves per round)

Honorable mention goes to the gnome artificer with quickloading crossbow / slaying arrow infusions refluffed into a repeater stake launcher.
