I haven't been active on Reddit long, and i'm already pissed off at all the Karma Whores giving bad advice on /r/relationships and all the circlejerking going on in other subs. It really seems most or all of the advice that gets upvoted is just confirmation of what the OP has already said on his post, and when anyone tries to spill the truth it just gets downvoted into oblivion.

Thankfully, the woman who wrote the article is against this particular train of thought. But it goes to show that there's some crazy stuff being said on the internet, and impressionable young girls are being exposed to it.

Any "-ism" is going to have some batshit crazy people involved in it, especially one as charged as feminism.  You don't need to look hard, actually, for that one, viz. Andrea Dworkin.  So, I don't really know what you're trying to convince us of.  Hell, you don't even have to look further than Jezebel for a pretty regular helping of craziness.  Although I also don't even know what feminism means at this point in time.

By the by, I'm pretty sure you can prove your point, or nearly any point really, without resorting to a version "what about the impressionable children?" argument.

It's less of an argument and more of a statement on what's happening... Young females are being exposed regularly to this brand of feminism, which spreads like wildfire especially on social medias. This is systematically deconstructing everything about real feminism and transforming it into a gender-war, in females vs males.

I see it as a much smaller part of the claimed "feminists".  I don't think that it's a significant portion of the claimed "feminists".  I know a lot of outspoken feminists.  And none of them hate men.  I've met a few "feminists" as well, and they all seemed to have a few things in common.  They tend to be online, and don't really act out on their beliefs.  Much like the majority of those on the other side.  Don't let it become a war.  And it won't.  Don't associate with those who hate a specific gender, and they lose power.

Old-ish woman, who hasn't talked to me once in 5+ years, starts complaining at me about Ebola.
I say:  Have you exchanged bodily fluids with anyone who has visited West Africa with the last 20 days.

She looks confused for a moment ... like a bolt of logic has interrupted her joyous death fantasy.
Then immediately she gets a slightly different confused look on her face.

I decide I want to end this non-versation as soon as possible, and have as few future repeats as possible.
I say:  You know they say "bodily fluids" , as a polite way of saying sexually transmitted disease.

There is no smiley face that imitates her response, but she catches herself short and starts complaining about the Electrical company.
A truly unexpectedly quick turnabout.  I now respect her more than I would have thought.
