I have a class T/R at 3:30. It takes about 20 minutes to be comfortably on time to most classes from where I live, and I left at 3:15. So I'm expecting to be late. I get to the parking lot (3:22 on my phone), and see a shuttle (yes!). I toe run through the muddy divider between the half-lots, on my way to the shuttle. I step on the curb out of the mud...and fall on my face. Hurt pretty bad, it was an awkward fall, nothing damaged. I get up, reach the shuttle, and it proceeds to wait for another 2 minutes before leaving (3:25 now). It reaches the first stop down the length of the campus, I see the scramble light go red. I think "I get off now, I can make it there faster", because the scramble light adds a lot of time if you make it right after the green for you (30 seconds of only pedestrian crossing), and my classroom is between the current stop and the next one, but on the other side of the light. I make it to nearly the light, when the bells toll for 3:30, at the same time as I watch the bus go through the light. Then I finally make it to class about 2-3 minutes late, and see that it was the suicide prevention course that we need to take, but I have already taken. I thought it was supposed to be on Thursday that I didn't have to come in to class.
