Pizza hut gives me absolutely horrible heartburn every time I eat it. I almost never get it from anything else, anymore, either. :shakefist

Usually the cooked tomatoes is the problem. Super acidic.
Getting it No Sauce but with the sauce as a dip, works.

The dough could be a problem for a weird reason.
Regular crust uses one kind of flour, % protein and specie.
Thin crust another with different #s.
Thick pan style again another.  Most of the time.
Changing the dough might make a difference, might not.

Pizza hut gives me issues - not heartburn but rather about 12 hours of really nasty, sulfurous burps. And, like Phae, it's only Pizza Hut.

well, they put out a Wheel of Time tv show..

seems the estate was not involved with it, denies any knowledge of it.

the 30 minute pilot is not good, imo. not Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings quality. more like the 90s Fantastic Four that was only made to keep the rights to the material...

edit: i just read the Wired article that said the same thing about the Fantastic Four....

the Wired bit is worth a read..  they finished production on the wot show 5 days ago  :eh

Wheel of TIme was on a late night slot that normally airs infomercials, so they paid cable to show it.  An article I rad says this is because the producers have the rights to do a tv series, but were going to lose them if they didnt air an episode by a certain date.  So they made a throw away for purposes of keepin the rights while they work on an actual show.  Think of this one as a failed pilot.

I have a class T/R at 3:30.  It takes about 20 minutes to be comfortably on time to most classes from where I live, and I left at 3:15.  So I'm expecting to be late.  I get to the parking lot (3:22 on my phone), and see a shuttle (yes!).  I toe run through the muddy divider between the half-lots, on my way to the shuttle.  I step on the curb out of the mud...and fall on my face.  Hurt pretty bad, it was an awkward fall, nothing damaged.  I get up, reach the shuttle, and it proceeds to wait for another 2 minutes before leaving (3:25 now).  It reaches the first stop down the length of the campus, I see the scramble light go red.  I think "I get off now, I can make it there faster", because the scramble light adds a lot of time if you make it right after the green for you (30 seconds of only pedestrian crossing), and my classroom is between the current stop and the next one, but on the other side of the light.  I make it to nearly the light, when the bells toll for 3:30, at the same time as I watch the bus go through the light.  Then I finally make it to class about 2-3 minutes late, and see that it was the suicide prevention course that we need to take, but I have already taken.  I thought it was supposed to be on Thursday that I didn't have to come in to class.

Man, that sucks (I have a similar commute; trying to run uphill in slush is no fun.)

Will a 3D T-Rex make you feel better?

So the image morphing tools that are native to Linux suck. Of the two programs I've tried to emulate through WiNE, one froze my computer any time it tried to save anything, and the other doesn't run,

And the script I found for imagemagick has a syntax error that I'm not proficient enough with bash to fix.

Today my dad told me he has basically given up on his own health and doesn't expect to live long enough to get the option of retiring.  It's still hitting me...  And hopefully it'll hit my brain hard enough to motivate me to get my ass in gear and do stuff so I'm ready for his passing as well as that of other family.

In much less depressing news, my tablet isn't loading Lil' Alchemist properly.  The devs said they were releasing a fix but the last update from today still isn't making it work.

Basically he feels his life is shit and not worth living.  I expect part of it is money issues plus there's depression and him not feeling like he's doing anything important with his life now.  I know part of it is how I've turned out since I'm 25 but still haven't really "matured" in his eyes.  And he's right in many ways, such as I have shit discipline and it's extremely noticeable when I should do things that I don't want to do (that situation usually ends up with me having a severe anxiety attack.  I still vividly remember the time my dad pushed me to crying when I had to write a creative paper for 6th grade.)  That's one of the things I need therapy for.

I have a peptic ulcer.
Ouch!  Hopefully it seems like it should be manageable and treatable?

After some research I found out that I can self medicate with heartburn medicine until I have a job/health insurance again so things are better with me than with you.

My uncle in KY doesn't leave the house, if there's 1inch of snow.  He's got 8 so far.  Heh heh.  His latest complaint is about people living above the Mason-Dixon line, as in why?! + they're all crazy.

Damn Jack.  Dad + Depression = that sucks.  But don't put it on yourself to cure him.  The medical docs and psychologist(s) get that job.  You might even be able to distract him from all that, by asking around all the important issues like retirement savings, will, do not resuscitate conditions, which other relatives he wants to have "discussions" with. etc.
