The thing is he gets busted for it every year.  Which makes me wonder why they havent thrown out the pool raft.  Or if they have why they keep buying new ones...

My router is borked.  Net will be down until Saturday, I'm on work net right now.

So Comcast, got tired of telling me to upgrade my router and sent me a disaster have you?  Damn you! :shakefist

I swear somebody dumped a low level Hallucinogenic into the town water supply.

Every intersection I've driven through today, had somebody doing something you don't see happen on the road like 99/100.

It's half way between Ridiculousness and Mad Max, with a touch of Norman Rockwell.

idk wtf  :grave

I like Maths up until the point you're asked to do banal, repetitive questions and then get told "solve something harder in your own time". Jerks. :P

Our math teacher was a football coach who needed extra money.  Alas, most of us didnt progress very far in math as he knew less than us, he just had the answer key in the back of the teachers textbook.

I gave up on it somewhere around the point a year was more or less wasted because the idiots that had been put in _my_ maths (and physics, but that involved less revision) class--rather than the other one--had managed to totally forget stuff needed to even get into the class in the first place. :rolleyes

Sometimes that's an issue with the upload.  But yeah, it sucks.  YouTube also recently (about 2 months ago I think) updated their search/homepage stuff.  And now you no longer get the latest videos from your subscriptions.  You get some of the latest from your subscriptions.  It's mostly the newest stuff, but not always.  And the videos they show are no longer "what you would want" but more "what's popular".  I found a couple of the people I watch now regularly because they were the "similar uploads" but now it's just the popular stuff.

I'm currently crashing on the couch of a couple that are friends of mine (and there's another guy who lives here too) due to work trouble (I can't find any worthwhile).  They're good people, but the couple has the emotional maturity of a couple of two-year olds when it comes to the shit they get into fights about and I'm so tired of it.   :banghead

YEEAARS ago, I found this really hilarious choose-your-own-adventure style guide to being a space-ship captain. It involves step-by-step instructions of what to do in case of encountering aliens (checking for whether or not the aliens look close enough to members of the opposite gender is a step.)

And I can't find it anywhere.

I hate anxiety attacks; I just got over one that hit me in the middle of class.

I feel awfully tired and am still filled with a sensation of dread and nausea.

(As far as I can tell, it wasn't caused by anything external; suddenly, the chalk was hitting the board too loudly, my arms were too heavy, and my thoughts were skittering manically around.)

I had those for a while (well, panic attacks, which I assume are the same thing)... Just about the worst thing I've ever experienced. I literally thought I was going to have a heart attack a few times. The worst thing was that the fear of having one was almost as bad as actually having one... They put me on an SSRI for a while (this one), which stopped them from happening acutely. Then I started going to therapy to address some other issues (and I stopped drinking and using other substances...), and eventually tapered off the drug. Luckily I haven't had one in over 20 years, but I still remember how bad it was...

Correct.  :D

And this is why I never want to be offered psychotropic medication. I know too much about what they do.

Yup, I've had anxiety attacks several times before.  Had a couple this year so far.  Got hospitalized for one when I was in school and started having chest pains and shortness of breath and I remember going to the office to sit down while the paramedics came.  Started watching the TV and the news said Elizabeth Smart had been found 8 or 9 months after being kidnapped.
