Hello All,

I am new to DnD, so I hope to receive some advice and learn from others that have a good understanding of the game.

Thanks in advance.

Heyas, welcome to the community.

New to D&D eh?

Look into something called "Action Economy".

Basically, everyone has the same number and kind of actions. Action Economy deals with making best use of your actions and how to get more actions. That is one reason Spell Casters are so much more powerful than melee characters normally. They can get much bigger effects from their actions and have a lot of ways to push the envelope to get more actions. That doesn't mean non-magic characters are bad, they just need to work harder for similar payout and a good GM will make everyone useful (but you can help that along with good character development).

Thank you for the suggestion.  I will definitely check "Action Economy" out.

I'm currently playing a battle-cleric (cleric/ordained champion/fist of raziel - My DM isn't allowing DMM, which is fine with me) in a campaign, so it will be nice to learn how to manage my actions better etc.

If you have an sources you recommend, please link them to me.

Nice~ Sounds like you already have a strong grip on the game.

Action economy turns up in every system so learning how to work it in any given game is a good idea.

I can't seem to turn up a Handbook dedicated to the Action Economy itself, that sort of thing often turns up in individual class handbooks.

Fair enough.  I will check the 3.5 cleric handbook from this site out.  I'll read it in more detail to see if it covers Action Economy at all.
