Actually, TML, SS has not been replaced, and is a valid part of 3.5. WotC said (my citation-fu is weak, but bear with me) that any 3.0 material that is not updated with a new version (feats, spells, items, classes, as well as entire books) are valid 3.5 rules. However, nothing I've seen says that acquired templates are not part of your race, and you've presented an example of an instance where it is.

... Races of the Dragon explicitly lists templated creatures as races: "Races presented in this book that have the dragonblood subtype include dragonborn, spellscale, kobold, and draconic creatures."  Or, for that matter, ...

Four paragraphs to say: I don't know how to get Conjure Living Spell to twice a day... Also you know there is a difference between Inherited (half-dragon) and Acquired (mistling) right?

SorO, dragonborn are an acquired template, and are listed as a race. TML already stated this. What would SLAs granted by a template be, if not racial SLAs? TML also already stated that magic in the blood is how he's getting more than one use of CLS. You can make arguments that there are reasons that mistlings don't qualify for MitB, but putting the words 'I don't know how...' in his mouth is disingenuous.

Speaking of dude, only a creature is affected with the normal effect of the Spell and it doesn't even imply the spell is recast on each strike how is that working for you?

This is indeed the crux of the problem with a CLS living spell; neither the slam nor the engulf recast the spell, and the spell effect does nothing to creatures, which are the only things the ooze can target with a slam or engulf. My worries about powering the CLS are but a red herring. As long as the mistling can get 2+ uses of CLS, it can make a CLS living spell, but even if that ooze gets SLAs, it can't activate CLS in any meaningful way.

"Any gear worn or carried by the druid melds into the new form and becomes nonfunctional. When the druid reverts to her true form, any objects previously melded into the new form reappear in the same location on her body that they previously occupied and are once again functional. Any new items worn in the assumed form fall off and land at the druid's feet."

Master of Many Forms
Found in: Complete Adventurer, Page 58
"Extraordinary Wild Shape (Ex): Starting at 7th level, a master of many forms gains the extraordinary special qualities of any form she assumes with wild shape."

Black Pudding
Found in: Monster Manual 3.5, Page 201
"Split (Ex): Slashing and piercing weapons deal no damage to a black pudding. Instead the creature splits into two identical puddings, each with half of the original’s current hit points (round down). A pudding with 10 hit points or less cannot be further split and dies if reduced to 0 hit points. "

did anyone else notice that the pudding takes no damage (and therefore can't be healed)?

Excellent, nijineko; refutation on grounds is perfect. No NI oozes. I'm glad somebody pointed that out; I wish I'd noticed that.

So a 14th level druid w/ 90 hp (about average) could become 32 oozes with ~5 hp each. As a DM I've ruled, in the absence of any rules either way, that items don't duplicate (with the Protean Scourge), and I believe that spells already don't duplicate (the game rules in MMIII for the aforementioned PS as precedent). Additionally, all the oozes are actually the same creature, but with expanded actions; so feats [leadership] wouldn't duplicate either, just like spells. The druid gets 32 actions per round, but has very few hp.

A PAO on a creature eligible for Assume Supernatural Ability [Protean Scourge's Split ability] would allow for NI doublings, as long as the creature took nonlethal damage, and the PAO wasn't dispelled. It seems only actions would duplicate, as far as I can tell.

You are mistaken. It functions like a Template but never says such throughout the entire book. And you're probably think I'm joking, but seriously go back and read it. It's not a Template. Hell, by RAW it's not even even a Race as far as the actual mechanical text goes but that's a discussion for another day in another thread about RAW oddities. Point is, it's not actually a Template.

@TML, what a mouth on you. For the record, I don't have you give you dick. Perhaps you'll remember one of my favorite sayings, "the lack of rules is not rules supporting you."

As it turns out there is a very condescending book citation for that.
