Wouldn't intimidate be better than investigation based on your background as a bouncer ?

I have intimidate from my class already, but I could probably switch them around.  Well, maybe not since I don't think barbarian gives that, but maybe with the skill proficiency from human?

(EDIT: Yeah here we go....

From "Bouncer" Background
•Two skill proficiencies: Intimidation and Perception.
•Up to two of the following: Brewer's Supplies (tool) and Tapdancing Outfit (tool).
•A Feature (usually a non-combat benefit, such as having a contact, or getting access to shelter/healing): When standing guard in front of a path, gain advantage on Intimidate, Perception, and Insight.

•Human skill proficiency is Investigation

•Barbarian is Athletics and Perception.
 Better.)

You don't get a human skill proficiency and the ability score increase. And your statline only works with the increase.

?....

It... doesn't look like I'm in error there.  Variant human trait says +1 to two scores (Str and Con in this case), one skill proficiency of choice, and one feat.  Unless the point buy is off...

Lesse, I used http://1d8.blogspot.com/2014/04/point-buy-calculator-for-d-next-5e.html to get....
Ah, found the error, I typed 18 in Str, it's supposed to be 17.
Originial scores, fyi, 16-12-13-10-10-10.
Mudada.

I'm still reading over things trying to find a match, can you multi-class in 5th?

Yep. There's an ability score prerequisite for each class to meet when multiclassing,  but it's not hard to meet. Usually just 13 in one or two key scores. It works mostly like 3.5, except you don't get all of the proficiencies of the second class (the book tells you which you gain), and the way casting classes stack is different (but the rules work out better for them so you don't become useless when you multiclass as a caster, usually maintaining breadth of casting options at the cost of depth).

Multiclassing is covered in chapter 6 of the PHB and in the Basic Rules.

Yeah I see it now and I feel dumb.

If I'm reading Extra Attack right it only works with the actual "Extra Attack" Class Feature.
Ugh, really starting to hate how they index'ed their Spells. Is it too much to ask for each Spell to mention what Class learns it like 3rd? >.<

I understand the inconvenience, though it helps to future-proof the list in case they publish new casting classes with those spells on the list (not that there was ever really an issue in 3.5). Although, more likely, it probably just helped keep their page-count lower and thus reduced publishing costs. *shrug*

This dice roll has been tampered with!
A 4d6 : 6, 5, 4, 4, total 19
B 4d6 : 5, 6, 6, 6, total 23
C 4d6 : 3, 6, 2, 4, total 15
D 4d6 : 6, 5, 4, 5, total 20
E 4d6 : 2, 6, 2, 1, total 11
F 4d6 : 6, 4, 4, 3, total 17

We're using point buy.

Are we? Someone said their original was a 16, you're not allowed to buy above 15.

Also in 5th it appears no one gets their 1st Feat until the 4th level unless you're Human?
Since everyone else is either a Barbarian or Warlock, should I pick up the Healing Feat?

It says in the first post.

Yep. Feats are an optional rule as it is, though they're generally more powerful than in 3.5.

The original post said we're using the book's standard 27 pb. It works out to equal 24 pb in 3.5 standards, but 5th edition assumes lower scores all around (which avoids the tremendous ability score bloat possible in 3E), so it's not fair to compare them equally. Given that the original standard set for 3.5 was 28 pb, I'd say it's more generally closer to that.

you know, if it weren't for point buy i'd bet those rolls wouldn't have been that good. I'm also slightly surprised no one has gone Rogue considering that you're working for a thieves guild lol.

Anyway here's a bit more info This is going to be your first operation for the guild, like a probation type of thing. You don't screw up and or embarrass the guild in any fashion then you become full members.

I got it corrected, the 15 cap is total bs. 5th likes high scores more than 3rd did but to gimp people at low levels feels so cheap.

I think my current plan of advancement is Monk 2 / Wizard 14 / Fighter 1 / Monk +3. It's a shame Monk doesn't stack for slots but it's two extra unarmed strikes is just so great. Fighter 1 even gives your modifier to TWF so overall I'll have Extra Attack (2), Martial Arts, TWF, and FoB for 6 attacks, Abjuration's Ward for bonus HP and Resistance/Advantage vs Spells, 7th level Spells, and probably a half-dozen other things I'm missing and I did it without using Druid :p

Absolutely nobody else is optimising beyond 'not picking dumb ability scores'.

You assume a lot out of your follow players.

You also have a habit of creating moon-gods and trying to deal several thousand damage per turn using broken homebrew so over half your follow plays have little to nothing to do so I'm not buying into the claim you're not.

You also have a habit about complaining about people, like here and now this is my chance to learn 5th and I've said as much. All you want to do is complain that it's a bad thing that I read more than a few sentences.

You wouldn't say that if you knew the bagged she takes into these threads. It tends to go away once the game starts through.

Given that she's known me a lot longer than you have, I'd say she does know me.

We've been over the Magician in the thread itself, and I'm honestly waiting for Os to restrict gods to either alternating levels or BOTH sides of a gestalt, because those abilities are insane--and Divine Battlefield is almost totally irrelevant to everything else it has. And you are the one that decided to fuse it with anthropomorphic animals, your own homebrew, and whatever else comes to mind in the same thread as the mostly support goddess.

And no, I'm saying that you're overdoing it because you've planned out a way to get 7th level spells, half a dozen attacks, magical resistances, and extra HP for an RP-centric game. We also have a Barbarian, a Barbarian, and possibly another Barbarian. You're overdoing it. A lot.

My plan? Barbarian 20. >_>

Barbarian 1/Sorcerer 1/Barbarian 18. Because I REALLY want to play a dragonball character.

Just going to see where my character ends up as she progresses, really.  I'm not one for hyperoptimisation.  Although I do kind of want her to go Bear Totem because bears.

Also because I am lame I drew her up. ^^;
