Oh, wow.

Did I say $45-60?

Nah, the bank decided to hit me with a $35 overdraft charge for each (less than $5) transaction, adding up to almost $200 in fees alone. That's nearly a quarter of my goddamn income.

Paypal is claiming that they can't do anything since the transactions have already posted, (Lies.) but have offered to send me a nice letter explaining the mix-up for me to show to my bank in hopes that they waive the overdraft fees. My banks, however, is standing firm on the position that they will only remove the fees if the charges are reversed.

So, yeah. Looks like it's time to stop all my direct deposits and find a new bank.

Goddamn i hate insects, holy shit how i hate them. Fucking beetles flying through my window at this time of the night (It's 1:50 am), and now i have to keep my windows closed. I'm a smoker, and it's hot. Really fucking hot. But i'll have to endure because these fuckers keep flying straight through my window, and they're big and have hard shells, keep bouncing every which way.

I'm getting tired of having to chase the fuckers and killing them. It's also really stressful. I keep thinking i'm going to wake up with one of them flying straight into my face - it has happened before.

And it's a really, really fucking unpleasant situation. Can you imagine being woken by a fucking beetle smashing into your face, the buzzing noise really close to your ear? And it actually hurt. Like a small pebble thrown by a kid kind of hurt, not the kind of thing that'll leave a mark next day or anything, but fuck.

How i wish humans would start all of a sudden excreting some sort of pheromone that screamed "Get the fuck out, or you'll die instantly" to any insect, that'd be great. I know beekeepers and other people that work with insects would find a workaround.

If it works i'm going to make my pajamas out of basil.

EDIT: or possibly cover my whole room in it

or possibly my house

or i might set it on fire because there's so many bugs in my yard

I had a bank do the exact same thing almost a decade ago, and have never gone to another one since.  I route everything now through PayPal only and their business debit card.  They have a LOT more power to go after idiot institutions that way, and it's 1000x more secure than anything the banks in the midwest can come up with (several of which in a few towns I know of are still using something like Windows Server 2001 - or whatever one XP was built with!).

Yeah, it's a pretty common practice. IIRC a few banks even got sued over it, but that hasn't stopped anybody.

The thing is I've had just as much trouble with PayPal as I have with banks--possibly more. This current debacle is actually their fault. The bank is just following it's policy, it's PayPal who charged the transactions to the normal account instead of my PayPal credit, and is now refusing to fix the problem aside from sending out a letter saying "yeah, we goofed and took the money from the wrong account."

The accounts aren't even under the same name. The credit is in my name, the normal account is under my wife's name. She actually had to tell them it was okay to speak to me when we called customer service the other day. They literally charged the transactions to someone else's account, and are refusing to fix it.

Honestly, I'd tell them all to eff off if I could, but lots of things these days require a bank account.

Since he's not keeping a pile of money in the account, they won't care. A threat to leave bad reviews all over the place might actually scare them more (but they likely still won't give a shit).

I just spent hours and hours on the balcony of my apartment because my roomates decided to take over the living room while I was out running errands.  This is the living room that I'm currently living in as I'm unemployed so had to move in with friends of mine.

They have their own goddamn room but no, they have to watch a Netflix show that I don't give a shit about at a loud volume while taking up the only couch that isn't leather.  (We have two couches, one leather and one not.  I hate the leather couch, I hate all leather couches.  It tries to merge with my skin.)

God sometimes I hate living with these people.

Take my tip and don't EVER, EVER try to take your rollerblades for a ride after 7 years, while you're drunk. I'm lucky i still remember how to fall, but i still have bruises all over my body from when i fell during a sharp turn at about 30kmh. I had no safety equipment, and my hands & chest took most of the hurt. Especially my hands.

Like i said, lucky i still remember how to fall. Put your hands first and hope for the best. Better some broken fingers, a broken arm, than a broken head. Still, i didn't break anything. And i finished up my planned 5km lap, despite being bruised at around the 3km~ mark.

I did some video footage, but it's probably shit because of lighting. Mostly just me videoing myself while panting breathless from exertion and some outside footage, you can mainly see lightposts and fences.

I hurt all over. Goddamnit. I feel like i'm 15 all over again, and i'm 25, going on 26.

Still, it's the BEST kind of hurt i felt in years. So it's half-rant, half happy happy joy joy.

EDIT: I lost the nut for my nipple ring. I took it off. Damn, second one i lose. Don't know if i'm going for the third time.

Lolly lolita + surreal situation.

I'm at big box books.
Kid starts playing with the Legos table, saying : "  ship shi(p) ship "  etc over and over again.  Parents do the oh my kid is so sssooooo cute thing, and let him keep doing it for say 30 minutes straight.  Every worker in the place thought he was swearing like tourettes, and a few angry grandmoms.  I thought it was somewhat funny for about 5 minutes.

2 highschool Girls so mature like totally.
Sit down to like gossip like about stuff like yeah.
Pink Floyd have you like heard of them like.
Like no wow like what are like they.
etc

Dude comes over to introduce himself.
They say they go to the alternative school.
He says I used to live right next door to the school.
Blah blah like giggle like blah blah blah like.
Dude might be 60.

I can't tell whether the girls are humoring him or (like) not.
The one is glancing over at me, and doing the look away quickly
thing when I look up.  Oh snap, she's directing a smidge
of lolly over at me.  I have no interest ...
(she has no idea former cab driver bs cured that)
maybe she like like likes me more than
the loudmouth drrrty old man trying to chat them up.

Ship shi(p) ship is repeating the whole time.

The dude finally leaves, and the girls soon after.

I get up to get a drink.
Ship shi(p) ship has been playing with the legos and repeating.
He's built a square box about a foot on each side.
More a piece of soviet architecture that anything.
No ship.
Nothing ship-like at all.

Beaming parents:
Ship shi(p) ship ... oh he's so sooooo precious isn't he?!

 :pout :P
I fear for our future.

I walked upstairs and caught some of my grandpa's conversation with his sister.  He was telling her that my dad has tried pretty much everything for me and has failed...  I'm guessing that's in reference to motivating me to get a job or some other sort of thing.

It reminds me of back during high school when my dad said to my face that he had given up on me.  I cried over that, and my dad did come back and apologize for what he said, but it does still feel like my family has mostly given up on me.

And in many ways I guess I've given up on myself too, or it certainly seems like I have.  Trying to motivate myself to do stuff rarely works and people pushing me to do things pretty much always fails because of my anxiety/depression/autism.  Unless I'm in a state of mind where I can get on a roll with some sort of work and can smoothly transition from one thing to the next, any sort of stress makes me shut down or melt down.

Now more than ever I feel like a burden, and I wish that was something I could use to motivate myself to work and such but right now it just makes me more depressed and withdrawn.  The longer I put stuff off the worse things are going to get though since my dad's finances are getting more problematic, my grandparents could very easily die in the next year or two, and I'm just fucked up.

Jack, there's little I can say or do to help, but I'll say this from experience.

The first thing you have to work on is the depression/anxiety/autism itself. Those are the biggest barriers to your improvement. You have to be well before you can confront your fears, the things that will stress you out, the things that will bring you down. I was lucky that nobody gave up on me, but I spent the better part of the last 8 years in a similar place.

Once you have those under control, motivation to change your situation - to improve - will come naturally. And you will gradually take pride in your accomplishments, to the point where the things that bother you, that stress you out, will not matter anymore. It's a long and arduous road, and lots of people will take that kind of development for granted, assuming you should do more than you are. What's important is that you work on it. Day after day. Baby steps will eventually get you to the point where you'll look back and smile at the man you've become.

Trust me. It always looks worse when you're smack in the middle of it.

I'm just fucked up.

I realize you don't like motivation, but here's some anyway.

The quoted part is the first step toward not being fucked up:  acknowledging it.

Step two is deciding that you can change that at any time you want to if you can deal with pain, sweat, and tears.

I've been there and I couldn't get out of that place until I decided for myself that I could gain the power to pull myself out.
