Pretty sure with all the funds going to it they could set up a small-scale collider and literally nuke the person's head.  Not advocating it or anything, but by the numbers, the potential is there.
The Data says that's survivable.  Best to just stop wasting so much money killing people out of vengeance to little use and take the moral high road for freaking once.

Anywho, back to the new topic.   Ted Cruz is a skeevy guy.

Hey Bhu , the NYTimes has endorsed your gov Kasich ... 'course that means he'll lose , but 4 more years for you.
Not sure whether this is good news or not.
 :plot :joystick

Honestly, I'm more than a little worried. If it comes down to Trump vs Sanders, Trump will likely win, because there are a lot more people willing to support racist ass-hattery in this country than there are willing to support anarchism--even the bastardized faux kind Sanders sppouts.

Bloomberg has said if it's Trump or Cruz , versus Sanders , then he'll run.
He's got 10x trump money , and more real experience running.

Last I heard, Sanders was presenting himself as a 'libertarian'--which used to be a synonym for anarchist and now means something closer to 'we pretend to be against government coercion but really we just want to be the ones in charge.' What political label best matches his actions is another matter entirely.

Point being, there's easily more support in this country for racist nationalism than for someone daring to suggest that capitolism might not be the absolute best thing ever.
Yeah, way off there. He's presenting himself as a Democratic Socialist. Libertarians are off on the conservative side (in the 'less government is best so we can do what we want', so I see where you're saying anarchist), while Democratic Socialism very liberal. From a google search: "Democratic socialism is a political ideology advocating a democratic political system alongside a socialist economic system, involving a combination of political democracy with social ownership of the means of production." His arguments, from what I've read, have been primarily that government structure SHOULD exist, and should spread its resources to serve all of the people, rather than acting in favor of corporations and the high-finance elite.

I'm in favor of the guy, but I'm not exactly a rabid follower like some I've seen. There's going to be over-zealous assholes in any political or social group, who take the ideals too far or to the wrong conclusion. You just have to work to temper their enthusiasm into more useful, positive angles.

Of course, if it's money and experience that determines who wins, why bother voting?

As of this moment in time, I'm looking at the numbers and wondering what the fuck is actually going on.

... oh yeah, Cruz beat Trump. Also important.

And from what I've seen, Iowa should definitely be stripped of its first-place-in-the-election status. It's kinda absurd.

Oh, absolutely.  It means nothing, but a lot of money for Iowa.

But it does mean things for people who lose.  A win means  nothing, a loss means a lot.  Sanders tying or winning, means he's got a great chance of winning.  A Clinton win means nothing.  A Clinton loss means everything.  A Cruz win means nothing, a Trump loss means everything.

From what I poorly understand, those delegates she won by coin toss are basically meaningless non-voting delegates.   Iowa is a strange  and mystical place.  Besides. we all know from experience that she's spent her luck.  Unless she has a new lucky coin in her Royal Crown bag to pull out.   :D

The real news of the night is Rubio made a strong third place showing, meaning the moderates in the Republican party are liable to flock to him in future primaries.  But its just the first one, plenty of shenanigans still to come.

Weird @ss sh!t going down in Iowa.

Trump came in minus 10% or more , on all of the last polls.
The Cruz metrics guys were spot on, which might be a fluke, or might not (?!).

:birthday ... and we'll get to see an "angry" Ben Carson too (wtf-snoozing-bbq).

I'd be angry too considering Cruz is supposed to have screwed him in Iowa by spreading a rumor he dropped out (santorum and paul are out now too).

Granted he should be pissed at his campaign advisers, cause apparently he's dropped millions down them and what appears to be a skeevy marketing scheme.

Rand Paul is out (thank goodness).  I'm expecting a number of his supports to go to Trump, but most to just smoke a ton of weed and daze off, all while railing about how it's not fair that the police doesn't go after drug offenders enough and the government is too into their lives.

Yes I'm aware that the previous sentence makes little sense, but then again, neither do Rand Paul supporters.

In all seriousness, I'm not really sure who they'll go to.  I'd honestly expect a few to jump across the aisle to Sanders, a number to support Trump, and some to support whoever is in the lead that's the least religious in the Republican field.  So...Trump?  Uh....Christie?  No, they'd never go for Christie....uh....maybe Rubio?  No, he's worse than Christie for them....

Anyways who cares, it was only like 2% of the voters anyways.
