I saw that already.  I was more asking about the first part of that sentence, with the suppressing the vote.

... McConnell today told them to accept Trump will win nomination ...

Representative Martha Blackburn of Tennessee
just endorsed whomever wins the Repub nominee,
signaling the acceptability of Trump.
Looks like the national Repubs are starting to deal with it.

At least entertaining?  Was this the rally where he asked if a protester was from Mexico and the Secret Service member chokeslammed the elderly reporter?

Sanders pulls off one of the biggest upsets in modern primary history in my home state! It certainly makes the time spent phone banking and canvassing seem more worth it!

You're in Michigan too? (Where around? Could always use more gaming friends!)

I dragged my BF out of bed yesterday morning so we could go vote before I had to get into work. Even if we lost Oakland County to Clinton, I feel proud to have contributed.

I've got a good feeling about this, hopefully we see something fruitful from the upset.

Hey I'd try that Bernie Sauce on Brisket or fresh Pulled Pork.

Hawaii went for Trump ... anybody know where X-codes is?  He's got some 'splainin' to do.

All the pollsters missed on Bernie's win in Mich.

Early line is :  a bunch of Arabs turned out to vote
against the Obama + Hillary foreign policy in Syria.
No idea myself, nice to know surprises are out there.

Kasich has a solid chance in Ohio, but
Florida might be toast for the anti-Trumps.

Been a long time since my state primary mattered for Dems and Repubs.

Catching up to the backlog, but goddamn Michigan!  I bought myself an ice cream cake to celebrate that night.

idk if anyone saw the Chicago Trump nonsense as it went down ...

My sister works a couple of doors down from the UIC Pavilion.
There had been a lot of agitation on campus all week long.
She was scheduled off at 6pm, with early or late work anytime.
Her shift was 1/3rd no show.  She got out 1 hour early.
Normally she'd take the Train stop that's right next to that hall.
The Trump people started lining up at 10am, and the
protesters were right behind them.  Some of the streets were
already closed down.  She b-lined out of there, toward a stop
about 3 blocks away ... right through the staging area for the
regular protesters, who had their own counter-protesters.
She wasn't scared, but yeah you could taste the Riot in the air.
If she had stayed to normal quitting time, she'd have been
right in the middle of the spill out from the cancelling.

UIC campus police did not call off the rally, and supposedly
neither did the Chicago police nor the Illinois state police.
Trump is saying otherwise, as you might expect.
Some of the whole thing was definitely staged, on his end !!
I want to see official statements from the police.

Thank goodness my sister is OK (first things first).

Question.  How do politicians who aim to "end the IRS" expect to get things done?  Anything? They usually don't want to eliminate taxes, often it's a flat tax but it's still a tax, how can they justify getting rid of the part of government that actually handles that?  Specifically talking about a Cruz ad I saw while watching hockey (St. Louis channel, means getting political ads now), where he says he'll end the IRS, and give no method of handling internal revenue.  And then wants internal revenue.  Does...does he not know what the IRS even is?

Because they don't intend to shut down the IRS and never have, they simply want control of it.  It's just pandering to get voted in, at which point they'll make a half hearted attempt before saying "Oh damn, them democrats foiled us again.  Guess you'll have to turn more of the gummint over to us."  All the while hoping their voters never think to ask "We control both the House the Senate and the Supreme Court, and you haven't followed through on promise one."
