Looking for an old post...
« on: November 19, 2015, 08:31:47 PM »
So this might be a long shot, but I'm looking for an old post (it was the original post, not buried in some thread) that was an impassioned and very well argued defense of optimization against the schmucks who think badly optimized characters are somehow better for RP or that any sort of optimization universally ruins games. It might have been part of a guide someone wrote but not entirely certain.

I don't know that it was on this forum, but definitely in one of the forums frequented by the min/max community (I think it was either here or Giant in the Playground). I'm 80% sure it was posted by someone who frequents this forum though. Anyone maybe have the slightest clue what I'm talking about and where I might find it? :bigeyes

I remember reading several threads on that topic.  Can you remember any specific, kind of unique keywords that would aid in searching?

Dictum saved a copy of a original thread ; the orginal was a much longer post, and it had had previous discussions before it's more famous iteration.
