Sorry, I'm not sure what the DB problem is.

I did stumble across this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zalzala.spellbook tool though. Has anyone tried this ?

Oh neat! The site is super slow and is missing stuff, but still that's great!

Is it that Wizards wants you to buy their books? Even though 99% are gonna be in person or through eBay/Amazon/craigslist and they won't see a dime of it.

Its prolly more that if free resources for 3.5 arent available they hope you'll switch to 5e.

Literally can't stop the flow of free resources. They spawn ceaselessly and provide infinite quantity. Unfortunately that doesn't help feed an economy and soon the villagers start starving because people can't eat .pdfs and text blocks.

The wizards, they hunger...

If they'd put in the work to release a document of all the, say, spells in a sortable format, then maybe they could "blame" their fans for not throwing more money at them.

But they aren't doing that. That would require foresight. That would require intelligence. They're being just as lazy as they've always been and then pretending they have have something superior. It's simply not true, and if anyone shows them why (like 339) WotC shuts it down.

dndtools.pw is back up

Now I'm wondering how long it's been up and I didn't know.

I noticed it was up about two days ago but wasn't sure where to "shout to the heavens" about. I accidentally typed the old address and lo and behold, there it was!

[Edit]"Lo and behold" is not "low and behold." Fixed.[/Edit]

Alcyius is such a hack though, it's literally just the front end. All the links point to .pw, searches don't work, none of the tables or filters are operable. It's also an older version missing a lot of stuff.

.net seems to have most things, missing a number of feats that I can see though, and has functioning tables and filters.

I wonder how much it would cost to host a 1:1 mirror of .pw's content

I wish we knew how to contact the guy that manages pw, but he probably doesn't want to be easily found for obvious reasons.
