Class Features
Text
  • Spellcasting: The Forgesouled Guardian increases his spellcasting level as if the character had gained a level in the class used to enter Forgesouled Guardian at each indicated level.
  • Construct Companion (Ex): You gain the service of a Construct companion. Choose any single construct, with a CR equal to your level -3 or lower. Advance any construct that is lower until its CR is your level -3. You can command your companion as a swift action to take a specific act, but by default the construct will attack any hostile creature within 30 ft. of the Forgesouled Guardian. At each class level beyond the first, the construct advances by two hit dice. A Forgesouled Guardian can repair his construct companions, restoring them to vitality, through the application of his crafting talent. For every minute he spends repairing a construct, it regains 5 hit points. This cannot increase a construct companion's hitpoint total above its normal amount. If the golem is ever lost, you can craft a replacement costing 500gp per hitdice, taking one day for every two hit dice.
  • Construct Lore (Ex): At 2nd level, you gain uncanny knowledge about all types of Constructs, including their behavior, abilities, and weaknesses. You can make a special Construct lore check to identify Constructs or their special abilities or vulnerabilities. The check functions as a Knowledge check (PH 78), except the Construct lore check can identify any Construct. You gain a bonus on this check equal to your Forgesouled Guardian level + your Int modifier. You can attempt this check in addition to making the relevant Knowledge check to learn about a creature.
  • Bonus Feat: At 2nd level, and each even level after that, the Forgesouled Guardian gains a bonus feat, chosen from the list of Warforged feats.
  • Construct Flank (Ex): At 3rd level, you learn to better coordinate your attacks with your Construct companion. When you form a flank with a companion, both you and the creature gain an additional +2 bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls against the flanked opponent.
  • Extra Construct Companion (Ex): At 5th level, you gain a second Construct companion. At 10th level, you gain a third Construct companion.
  • Construct Tactics (Ex): Starting at 7th level, you and your Construct companions make an excellent team. Through coordination and practice, you have learned to optimize your combined efforts. When one of your Construct companions strikes an opponent with a melee attack, the target provokes an attack of opportunity from you. With this ability, you can make an attack of opportunity against a particular target once per round.
In addition, your companions do not grant cover against your enemies when you use ranged attacks or spells.
  • Construct Team-Up (Ex): When you reach 9th level, all the members of your adventuring party (including your other construct companions) now gain the benefits of your Construct Flank and Construct Tactics abilities. Any references to "you" in those abilities now include your allies.
Forgesouled
Prerequisites: Dwarven race, 1st level only
Benefit: You become a living construct, as per the warforged subtype. You are now eligible to take all warforged feats, and for the purposes of race, you count as both a dwarf and a living construct. As part of taking this feat, you choose a single warforged feat that must be taken at 1st level. You gain this feat.

P.S. The feat can easily be changed to be not dwarven only, it was just where the original idea came from.
