Wing has always struck me as Shoujo Gundam. Sorry, the nostalgia factor is pretty strong for it, but it's the truth. I do agree with the Mobile Doll debate, though; personally, I found it significantly more interesting than the whole Peacecraft "abandon all weapons" idea. Though mostly what the Mobile Dolls did was show that human heart >> AI when the main characters were up against them.
SeeD is kind of a mixed bag for me. I have yet to watch all of it, but it does have its high points. I think it's difficult to top the first series, though. Even though Amuro IS a whiny bitch, he is a BELIEVABLE whiny bitch, so even when you want to Bright Slap the shit out of him, you know that he DOES have it rough. Supposedly, he mans up and becomes significantly more badass in subsequent series (though his rival is STILL by far one of the most likeable antagonists in the story of anime and lots of people understandably like the Zeon side better than the Federation), which is probably worthwhile on its own.
