Baha deflects the heavy beam back at the shooter as Aryk cheers on.
: “Yes! Bow down before your goddess! HAHAHAHA!”
Only for the Calamity Corsair to dodge it at the last nanosecond.
:”I almost got too confident I see.”
"Who said we're on AA's payroll today? And besides, pirates like you know full well you're in the wrong no matter how you play at trying to spin yourselves to be righteous rebels for a good cause! The amount of innocents burned in your path attests to that!"
:“Hugo… Hugo didn’t tell you anything, did he? He’s really an idiota...”
The Gundam Perfect Pirate seemed to be expecting Katherine’s following assault and dodges perfectly, but the Calamity Corsair start getting rent asunder brutally although the Hunter’s blades don’t even seem to connect, shooting its vulkans in despair.
”That’s enough, eject now!”
: ”I-I can still fight!”
Then as Katherine moves for the finishing blow a new face is projected in your screens:
:“There’s only loss in death, but plenty of profit in living.”
From the pirate anchor ship fly out three skull-shaped drones each leaving behind a trail of purple smoke that surround Katherine before sending out swarms of smaller skull drones that attach themselves to her mecha, jamming systems and stopping the hunter from completing her attack!
: “That was way too close...”
The fireballs from Baha’s copy are deftly dodged by most of Nei’s crew, only managing to hit the Anchor ship and not doing any more damage besides flaring up its E-field. Then Baha moves in to flank Odaetnep Azul who’s busy with Katherine. Still the pirates manages to turn in time to partially defend himself from Baha’s attack with his own weapon.
: “Siren sweetie, run interference at the anomaly. Lena my love, please patch up the calamity corsair, don’t mind the cost. ”
: ”Uploading dream CAST.exe...”
Baha finds a stream of ads popping off urging him to run security checks on his system and to install those new 100% efficient free programs at the same time multiple poor quality musics start playing through the audio system.
: “Sure darling, deploying Trimate-class repair nanomachines.”
A green glowing cloud emerges from the ship and washes over the Calamity corsair, repairing its damage.
: “Thanks again, now let’s see just how durable Katherine is.”
The Calamity Corsair discards the spent heavy beampulls an heavy rifle from its back, shooting three times in quick succession, making the barrel glow red.
Before the sound of the shots had vanished, the Neikapool is closing in with Katherine, ejecting its chinked blades and fresh sharp ones coming out to replace them, then time seems to slow down, only Nei’s voice coming out from her machine playing in real time.
:”So, who are you to talk about burned innocents, miss hunter? Before Hugozinho, I was raised by an eldery couple. They were the only parents I ever met. They were peacefully living from retirement of an honest life of work. Then Darum came. Another Hunter, just like you Katherine. He killed my parents. He burned their house with them inside to try to get to me. I was weak and coward then so I could only run. Darum kept hunting me, kept killing many more while on my trail, always anybody who offered me any help, any kindness, burning them so there would not be enough remains for cloning, no witnesses to speak against him. He was a licensed Hunter, so he had the contacts and authority to get away with it. All the burnings were blamed on accidents or terrorrism. Or pirates.
Then Darum finally cornered me, but my fangs and claws had grown and I could fight back. I was engineered as a bioweapon and deemed too dangerous to live after all... We almost ended killing each other. But then Rolf showed up and stopped both of us. An honest government worker for a change, following the trail of ashes. Even he could not arrest Darum and Rolf would’ve got in big trouble if he killed him then, but Rolf could still take me under his custody, offer me a new safe home. I may’ve had lost my parents but now had a big brother to take care of me.
Then Mother Brain started malfunctioning, biomonsters started to appear everywhere, even worst than me, mindless beasts out only for killing with no care for their own survival. Rolf said he was going to investigate it. I said I was going along too. I would not just hide while my big brother went into clear danger. We ran into Darum again, this time no longer even bothering with bounties but just mugging travelers in the chaos or outright killing them if they resisted too much.
Darum sounded guilty, right? But Rolf believed in innocence until proven otherwise beyond any doubt. He investigated deeper and dicosvered that Darum had a daughter thad been kidnapped. All his killings were just to pay the kidnappers but they only kept asking for more. The poor man only wanted his daughter back and would do anything for it. Rolf said we would rescue her, along some of our trusted friends. We succeeded, got her safe and sound back to Darum. Happy ending, right? For Darum at least? Wrong. He had killed so many he couldn’t tell innocent from guilty anymore. The poor human couldn’t even recognize his own daughter, all he saw was just another target to burn down for her meseta. Her dying screams seemed to finally remind him of who she was. He didn’t say anything, just detonated his fuel backpack. They never found out exactly how many more died in that explosion but there were many missing. However the planet was going to hell by then, no time for proper reports. And next thing we know, it turned out that Darum wasn’t the only Hunter gone rogue. There were a lot more, kept under the rug so far but the biomonster plague made their truth come out. The planetary government even tried to create a counter-Hunter force, the Guardians, but that didn’t last long, they either died or joined the enemy pretty fast. Zirski was the only one who managed to hold to her original purpose and even then she was driven to the brink of madness fighting all alone to the point she came to Rolf’s home and begged to join us, the only ones who seemed to be doing some good. Me, a biomonster pursued by Hunters and Ziski the counter-Hunter guardian, what a team we made!
And we did stop the biomonster plague. Only for Rolf to be declared a rogue agent too. We found some pretty nasty secrets and the government decided they would take him and his companions in custody no matter the cost. The army’s dropships filled the sky, whole legions of military bots deployed, scorching the land clean just to find Rolf. They would’ve burned the whole planet down trying to find my big brother so Rolf faced them head on even though it was hopeless, ending up captured along our other companions.
There technically was a trial but it was all fabricated. Rolf would be executed in public, blamed for the bad hunters, for the biomonsters, the destruction, everything. Turns out the only reason they let him keep me in the first place that they could use him as a scapegoat later on. As far as the public cared Rolf was a deviant raising biomonsters at his own home, and they had plenty of footage to drive their point. They were already planning that far ahead back then.
And when everything seemed lost, caged in a prison-satellite with photon manacles, you know who came to Rolf’s rescue?”

But I still saw the recordings of the crowds of innocents cheering for the announcement of Rolf’s execution. And while living with my ex-docinho I got to see a lot more of the corruption and dirt under society from his work. You know how many laws my previous darling broke just taking me in? How many people tried to kill him just because we dared to love each other once? How many he killed to protect me?”
: “So the rebellions. the innocents burned, the orbital drop, my sisters, the colony crisis, Dark Force’s ressurection, and stealing the sacred candy, it’s all Hugo’s fault.”
:”Now bitch, get out of the way.”
The Neikapool unleashes a fresh flurry with its claws, even more furiously than before, then when it seems it’s starting to slow down, Nei’s assault only speeds up, the claws covered by pink energy that make them hit even harder!
Meanwhile the Valsione-Ms plating shifts to reveal glowing circuits, powering up their boosters and taking flight in pursuit of Baha.
: “Activating smasher funnels.”
Their shoulder pauldrons open to unleash hundreds of tiny bits that surround and assail Baha from all sides!
: “Nei’s having a meeting here with with her ex’s new girlfriend, so get in line!”
The perfect pirate turns his attention to Baha, smashing violently with its heavy hook with unerring acuraccy!
:”Continue the assault!”
: “Aye aye captain!”
The perfect pirate, emboldened by the captain’s words, strikes Baha once more!
: “Let’s dance a bit more, shall we?”
: “Do excuse us if we accidentally step on you.”
There’s something in the woman’s words that particularly sting this time.
Ancient Armor Chalybus elegantly jumps at Amaterasu, blades again appearing from its feet, except this time they that start glowing hot red before slashing violently at Amaterasu!
Valor indeed doesn’t stack with Colossal Strike.
Amaterasu takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls, AC, saves, damage rolls, DR and a -5 mu to her movement speeds. Those penalties last 1 round. If you has any round-based effects that would be boosted by the Yell spirit such as a the Attacker feat, then decrease their turn count by 1 too. Then 30+32+32+33+31 damage all rending.
Spells channeled through Orreries system only affect one target each, plus need actual attack rolls. I already took care of those for this turn.
Baha takes a a -2 penalty to attack rolls, AC, saves, damage rolls, DR and a -5 mu to its movement speeds. Those penalties last 1 round. If you had any round-based effects that would be boosted by the Yell spirit such as a the Attacker feat, then decrease their turn count by 1 too. Then takes 46 funnel damage x10, pinning, ignore miss chances+half DR and hardness, each allowing a Reflex save with DC 19 for half damage, then 133 (ignores any non-DR/hardness effects that would reduce damage)+157+121 all ignore miss chances, Concussive, grapple with DCs 60, 62 and 66.
Katherine takes 33 damage.
For 1 round Katherine can’t take free/immediate actions and receives a -3 profane penalty on attack rolls, damage rolls, skill checks, saves and AC.
Then 124 rending damage, then 45+41+43+43+47+43+49+46+50+48 ignoring miss chances, then 42+44+46+49+38+57+49+51+46+45 ignoring miss chances and DR/hardness.
