Yylris is not terribly successful at convincing the critters, but they are paying attentiion to you now instead of running about.

"Furry with legs but no wings.  Is not a bat, is a small little forest animal," Ashgar says authoritatively.

Robby, yer feet are being sniffed by a hamster family.

Ashgar triumphantly returns with the chicken.

He crouches down to talk to them.

"How are you all doing?"

You have the attention of the ferret now (along ith the kitten, the pig and the shrew), and it starts galloping towards you.  What do you do?

Yylris realizes hte hamsters are smarter than just animals.  In fact, almost if not all of these critters are Magical Beasts.

"The local forests prolly.  There's a thriving beast trade thats illegal.  They often train critters as guards for criminal gangs."

"Would you like some help and escort to the forest? I should probably check out the building if there might be clues about this animal trade. And I should probably tell the guards."

"We know about the animal trade, we just aren't certain of the locations of their facilities.  Might you be interested in a job?"

Stopping illegal animal trading sounds right up Yylris' alley.

"Sounds intriguing. What are you thinking?"

"The Guards are stretched thin, and we sometimes hire outside help if they seem trustworthy.  There is a thriving trade in beasts, drugs and other natural resources in the nearby forest.  You seem well suited to forest work, you like animals, and your Orcish companion may give you an in-road among some of the more insular outliers who don't trust Elves."

"Do you need any help cleaning this mess up, or should we look into starting that job?"
